Default is tt-01 the new tl-01

just curious i'm new into this whole r/c sport and wondering have i made the right choice in getting a tamiya tt-01 over a tamiya tl-01. i'm not sure because i'm new to this stuff. Also how can i make it go fast rather than being lazy and sticking a 7 turn in it? Does any one own one?

in my opinion the TT01 is better that the TL01 - coz its new ( so further developments in hop up tooo) i like the laydown design instead of a box monocoque, and from what i have seen it does go as fast.. but it neeeds to be ball raced... But to me i would pick it over the TL01 anyday
Will.

I heard the TL01 is soon to be discontinued by Tamiya....
it's had a good life (RIP)

It will become a collectors item in a few years time

From what I have heard, a pretty much stock TL01 can rip apart a hopped up TT01.

Just what I heard

dude u have this the wrong way round. Look at the results at tcs in the stock final, six A finalists were tt-01's and the two tl-01's were qualified 6th and 8th. Probably well over half the field consisted of tl-01's, so that speaks for its self

Dude, that rumor is way off. The TT01 is faster than a TL01 in a straight line due to the low friction drive-train, and it handles better in the turns too thanks to a low CG. The TL01 was a great car, but the TT01 is better.

First it will need ball bearings, then some oil shocks. It you're gonna put a really strong motor I suggest installing an alluminum center driveshaft and the alluminum motor mount. Drive it a lot and practice! practice! and when the stock diffs are shot get the one way front diff and get a ball diff for the rear. After that a garphite top plate for the chassis might be good, and if you got some money left over you can get blue anodyzed alluminum dogbones that not only look cool but are also really light! A lot of parts are not out yet but www.towerhobbies.com has a lotta parts. Welcome to the club!

I think the TB02 would be better than either of those (based on EVO 3 layout).
