As long as they are nimh you'll be fine. The event is a celebration of all things 2wd and turning people away because their batteries aren't sanctioned isn't in the spirit of the event

OK. Thanks for the reply. I will go ahead and order the 5000Mha cells now. I just don't want to turn up and have someone complain because they only have 4600Mha batteries. You never know at some of these meetings.

The web site needs to be updated, 12th scale open will definitely be run and mad mini is 3300kv motors not 17.5. We also have the facilities to run oval but I'm not sure if many people have oval cars here

I'll need to check. The SMA rule is hard cased, so probably not but I'll ask the question

As for entry forms, after seeing how late the crowds for summernats have been we're just going to do entries on the day. For those worried about grip, don't, the track will be treated and the testing we've been doing has shown promising results on foam

The big question is the layout. Ray has 3 layouts in mind and the one we run will be decided the night before, so apart from Mr Wood there will be no home track advantage for the SMA guys. According to Ray, there's a reason it's called the 2WD Challenge and not the 2WD Championship

Exceed Pink rears with either Double Pink (slightly softer) or Purple (slightly harder) fronts have been working well without goop. Serpent at Jannalli had them in stock , I don't know if Dave still has stock now.

The annual SMA come and try day is on this Sunday so anyone wishing to practice for the 2WD Challenge can come down and have a run for free. The track will be treated so the traction should be good
