Default M03/M05's - The Aussie Mini Racing thread

OK, for those who worship at the altar of the M03, it's time we had our own dedicated thread I think.

We had the 'Mini racing - where is the future?' thread. And now the future is here.
The '09 racing season with pretty much Australia-wide Mini rules and the promise of fantastic motor parity with the Hobbywing systems in place looks like being a HUGE year for Mini racing.

LCRCCC raced MO3 in 2008

Wynnum has just started should have a class for 2009

Default M03

Hi Guys,

The m 03 is alive and well here in South Australia.

At North East Model Car Club (NEMCC) we have mini there in number.

We usualy get 10 minis a night and at least another 4 or 5 in clubman.

Some times we even have 2 heats of minis with near 20 competing and again more in clubman.

Have a look at www.myspace.com/nemccsa for photos of our club.

I am intrested in what the clubs reaction is to the new rules for 2009 as well.

If you can keep us here in South Australia in the loop as well would be great.

Cheers
DaZa

We took video footage of all 5 A finals at the Masters and you can see them all here.
PLUS...they're also available in high quality not just the normal You Tube blurry footage.

I'll say howdy here. I'm not currently racing my mini, but doesn't mean I don't care.

I raced Mini at the ACT titles at Canberra this year at a ball. Even though the other mini maniacs were flying past me with there revved up Black cans, These rules are excellent and will bring more people like myself back to Mini. I m a mong driver in touring car so Mini appeals to me.

Mini has always been a good competitve class but with these rules It may be even more competitive

Does this mean the Suzuki Swift body is illegal ?

A Swift is a hatchback, not a sedan...

Modern touring sedans. They are talking about the Spice Accord body etc. The "boxy" shape bodies such as

Honda Fit (Jazz)
Evo Colt
Toyota Yaris
Suzuki Swift

etc that are available are legal
