RC Pro Australia

We plan to open entries for the event by New Years. We have a lot of things we are working on for this event that we hope to be able to have confirmed and announce in the weeks to come.
Racers from all countries are invited. This race will also qualify them to enter the RC Pro International Finals in November 2009.
The initial entry limit will be 150 racers. If these fill by May 1st we plan to open an additional 50 entries and bring in lights so we can finish qualifying after dark.
Entry will be available on http://www.rcsignup.com and can be paid via paypal. Each racer will receive a packet and we are working on the contents of that packet now.
Also I will be attending from the US to be the race director for this event. We are 8 months away and I'm ready to leave NOW!

Contact for this event is Paul Cornwell australia@rcprosites.com

Much more info to come!

I reckon we will break the record for this event

QLD Titles = 194 drivers (set June 2008)

RC Pro Australia = 200 plus (easy)

Cheers

Mark

Wild Thing, if you guys put on the same hospitality, track prep and great food as you did for the QLD titles this year, then the same 194 drivers plus all their mates that didn’t attend, plus any overseas racers, you would be looking near 250 noms.

I would hate to be the person who has to decide on capping the nomination numbers. Might have to start the event in June on the Tuesday.

Good work Cornchop

maybe now Australian r/c car racing might become a Nationally recognised sport and not a hobby.

In china model car racing is a national sport now and your passsport has a stamp on it to let officials know and to allow you to carry r/c equipment on aircraft without any hassles and searches.

It looks like Australia is heading in the right direction i wish all of you involved the best of luck .

regards Angelo

Hi Guys,

At this point in time there is only Buggy and Truggy but I get a minimum or 20 Stadiums and or Monster trucks we will run them. We want this to be big but manageable. But we will have to cap them at some point.

With 200 RC cars going flat out there wont be too many Kangaroos about but im sure we can arrange for you to go to the Australia Zoo that is around the corner.
