Summer offroad ep racing in victoria
Ok folks with the season almost over I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread detailing meetings that will be happening over the off season. If you have anything 1/10 ep offroad happening in victoria please post in here. I and many others are very interested in continuing racing during the summer months and it would be good to know whats going on without having to troll through forums and email clubs etc.
Cheers
Luke

Luke, Keilor and Knox have been in discussion about racing during summer.
On the 14th December there is the Xmas BBQ windup at Keilor. This will also be the last round of the Metro Series for 2008. We have heaps of raffle prizes to give away (similar to the ones we had at the Keilor Cup) and it should be a relaxed afternoon of racing.
If there is enough interest, we had even talked about having a wives / partners race at the end of the day to finish off the season...
Through January, there will be some saturday evening races at Knox and Keilor -dates to be announced soon. The nationals are on the last weekend in January and then in Feb the racing season starts again.
We have had a lot of positive responses to racing saturday afternoons, so we may extend that through to the end of summer.

Racing over the xmas break
With the Nationals in January next year instead of Easter, I thought clubs would be running over the xmas period.
The South Brisbane Chargers (Ipswich track) will be running fortnightly meetings throughout the xmas period. These meetings will be night race meetings under lights nominations from 4.30, racing from 5pm, finishing around 10-10.30 pm.
I know this isnt in Victoria, but if anyone from down there is going on holidays up to Brisbane or the gold coast, drop us a line if you want to race!!
We would love to have some interstate competition up here before the nats.
We dont want to get rusty before the nats do we??
Have a great break all see you at the track!!!

Hey guys,
Castlemaine RC Car Club in central Vic have their end of year run on the 7th of December, and may be planning something different, just for fun. Details will follow when finalised.
They will also kick off their normal club day racing calendar on the 4th of January with off road racing, including the electric open class and 4WD Super Stock

Yeah man let us know what you have planned as there are no other events I know of except the interstate challenge but we cant drive in that on the 7th of december. I will definately be there with ppl in tow. Do you have many ppl there racing 1/10 stock? I know you run superstock 10.5t but most of us run 17.5t and we would get our asses kicked
Upcoming summer events so far:
Keilor 23/11/2008
Castlemaine 7/12/2008
Keilor 14/12/2008
Wodonga 20/12/2008 5pm start
Knox 03/01/09 4pm start
Keilor 10/01/09 4pm start
Knox 17/01/09 4pm start
Wodonga 17/01/09 5pm start

At the moment they do not run a seperate class for 17.5 stock, however all typs of electric run in open 1/10 and I am sure if four or more turn up with the same class of car, they will be seperated into their own class

Guys,
The details have been worked out for the December 7 run, and have been posted on the Castlemaine off road thread, or you can view them on the CRCCC web site forum

Lookie,
There is usually a 540 class (open to anyone) racing on the same day as the Wodonga Interstate challenge. Its a great chance to see many of Australias best going head to head on an awesome track and get to race on the same track on the same day, as well as to cheer on your Vic teammates.
Its a pity that the Castlemaine event is on the same day, as I would love to run my cars around there!
Seeya

Ok folks first off sorry for no turning up to knox today Me being the doucebag I am I got really sunburnt practicing there all day saturday....pretty stupid..I look like a friggin panda.... Anyways I will be @ keilor with the new b4 for it's 1st run on 23rd
We currently have 3 confirmed for our little trip to castlemaine on the 7th of december. As previously mentioned they class their cars slightly different to us so if your running a 4wd with a 13.5t or lower (yes that means u mod guys!) Then you are most welcome, most of us will be running 17.5t as that is what we have but faster would be better. Let me know if you are interested so we can organise transport etc
Current participants are myself, razzor and razzors mad zx-5 driving friend!
