Yep. The only time time it gets a good work out is when I visit some mates in Tassie who have them or similar.

I have heard word that Ryde are considering a box stock class, which would be cool, but I haven't spoken to anyone from there about it. I will at the Burbage Memorial next week end, though... If I don't get impatient and email before.

Mate I don't think they have even been released here!

Me and a couple of guys I know have them in Perth, all directly imported from the states, mine's been through an absolute belting, now on it's 3rd motor (any cheap 540 goes in there now) and run on 7 cells through all kinds of stuff, still can't jump the swimming pool though, but at least a short landing isn't an issue.

Yeah, I brought mine in for o/s, after a shop told me they didn't know if they were going to be imported officially. I will make a stand, always to support the local industry, unless they can't get me what I want.

I will replace the Titan with a LRP Big Block, still is a 12t 550. but bearinged and rebuildable. I'll wait until someone drafts some rules before I make major changes though. I think these would be the perfect spec class.

For the money, I think they are the best value RC EVER. It's a big call, but I made it

I guess they (the local importer) would be fighting to get stock, given the demand in the US, but they'd be slighty upset that they missed the early Christmas lead up.

I'm glad they will be bringing them in. I believe they will do much more for the sport, in the way of happy first time buyers than any of the other RTR's in the off road market.

Not a fan of Southern Model Supplies (Traxxas importer) I mean, the Slash has been out for 4-5 months, the E-Revo as well, still nothing, tried dealing with them on a Rustler VXL for warranty, absolute nightmare!

I think the Slash craze in the states is sure to spread to Oz, its the perfect class for those wanting to have some cheap fun on a level playing field. All i have read on the forums about this truck has convinced me that this is the next vehical for me.

We will have a Traxxas Slash spec class at Ryde starting the beginning of next year. The rules are being discussed and will be put forward to the committee soon.

See the official Traxxas Slash at Ryde thread:

the slash should be available locally, ive got one so thats usually a pretty good sign... the short course trucks look like they will be fun, the robitronic br50 certainly was and im looking forward to having a thrash with the slash (thats a tragic play on words!) , the big question will be what rules stick... 1:8 or slash?

That's a good price ^. You'd pay that for one from the US, then add the $70 USD to get it here.

I was happy with the gear that comes with them. Sure, toss the TQ2, but the servo is pretty ample, and the ESC is 15 t limited (12 if a 550), and both water proof.

I still swear these are the best built and value for dollar RTR EVER.

Oh, just be aware they have that weird arse Traxxas battery plug fitted.
