V8 Supertaxis.... What a farken joke..... When will Apu and Rajid be driving them??? Get rid of the roll cage and have the taxi driver 'security cell'.
The cars runs the same gear ratio, same suspension, brakes..... BORING!!!!
Hmmm when you buy your next Falcon ask for the VE tail lights..... they should fit..... Just like the Supercar..... What a joke.......
The governing body wouldnt allow Toyota to enter as they might have a manufacturer actually doing something.....

not exactly entirely the same... what about stock racing in RC cars... same spec motors, same spec batteries... only a coupla brands of cars and they all look almost identical... it's a test of the drivers and the preperations of the maintenance team... just this time lowndsey's efforts at taking out the faster drivers paid off that is all!!!

Cripes, Fraud didn't win Bathfarce for how long?
Now all the spastic hangers on come out of the woodwork.
The donks aren't even offered in the relevant road cars!
A real match up would be the 6.0 vs the 4.0 turbo, ala Group C.

I realise this........But remember when Fraud didn't win for all those years? Where were the Fraud fans then?
Christ people still go on about the GTHO. A car that looks a first year bricklayer slapped together! A taxi with a truck gearbox and donk, awesome.....

Ah yes the GTHO.... Was shortly lived as the fastest car until the Charger blew its rusty doors off on the Hume Highway.... Ah those memories......
It surprises me that there are now more 'genuine' GTHO's than the manufacturer ever produced... Funny this as atleast 20 where totally destroyed in high speed race incidents......
Ford lovers...... neanderthals and over developed primates....
Good night all.....

I'm not convinced the 350 Holdens were that much slower. I'm glad the new Fraud donk is a POS. Nothing for die hard spastics to carry on with.

You missed the point Davross. The GHTO Phase III was the fastest 4 door saloon in production. The Charger RT4 was a great car, but being a coupe put it into a different class - and it never performed well at Bathurst. It did not rate in the Touring Car Championship either, so midnight runs down the Hume Highway were it's highlights unfortunately.
By the way, Holden acheieved it's greatest success when the rules were changed to move away form factory homoulgated cars in the mid seventies, and greater freedoms were allowed in drivetrain and engines. When cars had to resemble what you could buy in the showroom, Ford was king of the mountain and the ATCC.

Please state the dates the GTHOMO was the "fastest four door saloon".
Also, what do: acheieved and homoulgated mean? I don't know why those words are underlined in red, let alone the English language.

The Phase III in production trim could pull a top speed of 145mph with the rev limiter connected, and around 155mph at 7000rpm with the rev limiter disconnected. It pulled a standing quarter mile at 14.4 seconds, which I believe is the same as the Charger E49, although the Falcon had the higher top speed. There were no head to head tests, or shows like Top Gear, so official records are lacking. If you care, I'm sure a smart fella like you could find a 4 door production sedan that went faster than 155mph. Start looking somewhere around 1996 with the BMW M5 series and you should be on the money.
I'm trying to understand why you are trying to put down a classic example of a world series muscle car that was developed at a time when Australia was at the forefront of production car racing. Maybe you are too young to remember the excitement these car produced, or perhaps regret that you never had the opportunity to own let alone drive a piece of Australian motor racing history.
