More entries have been received for this years Pro-Line 3 Hour Classic!
There are now 8 teams entered, and I hope to get an official entry list published on the PDNR website shortly.
There looks to be a big push again from (PDNR's friendly rival) SORMCC drivers - who have a history of good results in the endurance events.
...Still no EP teams though!
Make sure you get your entry in by this Wednesday (12/11/08) to take advantage of the Early Bird discount!

The preliminary entry list for the 2008 Pro-Line 3 Hour Classic has been posted on the PDNR website:
www.pdnracing.org.au/proline3hour/
( I hate to say it, but I think this may be the last time the 3 Hour Classic is held due to a fall in support. Only 12 confirmed teams have entered this years event, and this will force organisers to re-evaluate the viability of a 2009 event)

RULE CLARIFCATION ENQUIRY
Organisters received this enquiry on the compulsory battery change rule:
Hi ---- what will be classed as a battery replacement, as previous enduros have allowed just the plug to be unplugged and replugged in, the entry form isn't clear and needs to be clarified prior to the event. > > regards ---- > >
REPLY:
Hi ----, The rule states:
"All GP teams will be required to complete two (2) receiver battery changes after notifying a pit lane official."
In the past, if a team has 2 batteries in the one chassis, a unplug and plug-in into the 2nd battery has been acceptable, and this will continue to be the case. The rule states there needs to be a "battery change" so unplugging and the re plugging-in into the same battery would not be deemed a "battery change".
If for exampleyou were running 2 batteries in the chassis, and on the 2nd compulsory battery change you unplug and plug-in back into the original battery (should you think this is suitably safe) this would be acceptable.
Hope this helps clarify the race requirement and interpretation. Let me know if you have any questions or wish to discuss this further.

'This race may be held rain, hail or shine. It is the team;s responsibility to prepare the car for all possible conditions.'
So I'm guessing there will be no call expect the one to say it's gunna be on! Currently it's not raining and there are splashes of blue sky around, however its almost 12 hours until race time so ANYTHING could happen.
