Thanks to an old racing mates generosity - I will be staying at the "Hotel De Sola"..........Thanks Luis. I am sure we will relive some old times - especially some stories of pre race "head f%$#ing" stategies......lol

So - I will be "sleeping with the enemy" - I will do my best to ensure of no "ïnterference" to any cars........ LOL

Cheers

Darryn

So now it seems we are all good to go-EXCELLENT! With only weeks away from a HUGE weekend of fun I cant wait to get down there and turn some laps, drink some beer and soak up the atmosphere that Melbourne is well known for....well um.....er perhaps just well known for.

Anyone game to confirm what cars they will be running?

Well said my good man- Corporal Willy Chang. Darryn and myself will yet again make up Team 'North Wind'. I will again be sporting what could be a Schumacher Topcat/Cougar whilst Darryn is yet to decide from all 48 buggies he has to choose from. Its a good bet he'll go with either a Kyosho or AE at this point though.
With less than 2 weeks to go till the fun begins-bring it on!!!

Well guys,

I've just got off the phone with the producer of the peice for the collectors programme, and I've decided that my day will be best spent helping them get their footage with as little interuption to the event as possible.

Therefore, there is officially an opening in the lineup for one more team, or for a driver who want's to drive with Jason Cook. Either way, if anyone wants to take up this offer, could they please let me know and I'll include their details in the lineup.

This is shaping up to be a great day for the Vintage R/C scene, both for the drivers and for the publicity, so expect to be interveiwed "bathurst style" as you come down off the stand/change batteries/hide the PB under their gimp mask whilst batteries get charged.

Remeber that any specimins of significance will be veiwed with reverence, so bring them along to show the world, whether they are going on the track or not. I'm even tossing up getting the Rough Rider our for a very slow lap, just to say I've done it!!

We will also be getting Andy, the segment presenter to hand over the concourse trophy, so if you want to get your car on the telly, best get painting and polishing. Period and Box Art paint jobs will be the order of the day, and pool cleaners with toads in the net will have to watch out (you know who you are!!)

This event should be awesome!! now all I need to do is remeber to get gas for the BBQ

Cheers

Does this mean we can have drivers "cross entered" amongst different teams like Bathurst !

Ha! I be laughing in your face - says Raoul!

Tim popped in the shop today and I gave him a squizz at the "Ghost" - great feedback. Really looking forward to this event - have to make sure the trophy designs are of suitable calibre!

Will post some pics soon.

There is no terror in a bang, only in the anticipation of it...

I guess the short answer is : "I don't know what the future holds"

In any case, I would never be seen with any type of "crappo-ciated" contraption - to all the "sheep" using B4's - for me it's Losi or nothing !
