Tech and Tune day at Windsor
Tech and Tune day at Windsor
WERC would like to invite all members to participate in our first tech and tune day on Saturday March 14th 2009.
We had a great showing at the first round of the 2009 Club Challenge taking out the points lead, but we would like to see future rounds even more successful.
In an effort to get everyone up to speed, we are planning a Friday/Saturday schedule, where you race your car on Friday night, we impound your car after your final race without any changes, the following morning we will review your car, check the basics like weight balance, droop, camber, tweak etc. You will be given some notes on any issues found, and then you can practice with your car to compare any benefits in lap times.
Afterwards we will run through the basic theory behind setting up a car, and assist you in diagnosing any handling problems you’re still having.
This is a free day to all WERC members, but if any non members are interested you are welcome to join in also, but there is a fee of $15 to cover track hire all day Saturday.
Alternatively, if you would like to become a WERC member, applications will be accepted for the yearly fee of $30 which will cover this and any future WERC events.

Thanks for the reminder Pop ! !
I'll have to tally the points first, I have enough for friday though.
I had hoped to have both cars ready for a shakedown run on wednesday night, but they still aren't done.
I'll see what I can do about that.
Cheerio!

Challenge Cup RD2. S.A.M (for Bradd)
Congrats to all those who attended and represented WERC at SMA.
Looks like the next round at castle hill will be another cracker , with the home track advantage now lying with third place overall.
Perhaps we should let our track accumulate grit and grime , to allow for some better preparation ?
We will hopefully have a few more entrants too.
Names missing from SMA that I can think of are :
-Fergo (temporarily retired)
- .50CAL
- Princess
- Gramps Pearson
- Fleetmaster (of course)
Anyone else that I missed ??

Does the club own a body checking box like TJ used for club challenge. ??
If we don't, I would like to get the measurements to make one.
I would then donate it to the club, so that members could check their shells prior to the events
I believe that this may help with setup too, rather than finding out on race day that you're now way off the pace.
