Numbers at Windsor
#32
Hi All,
Some good thoughts coming out of this thread, best one is the saturday racing, my interpretation is that it would start early afternoon around 1.30-2.00 and be finished roughly 6.00-6.30? early enough for those who wish to go out on saturday nights still can.

Will this clash with Whalan?
I know from a personnal point of view Saturday's aren't good for me, however Sunday's yes.
However the majority will have the final say.

The best part is that Windsor can run no matter what the weather is like!
Cool, another afternoon of racing!
cheers

Paul .. I just meant that if you run on a limited schedule at least make sure it doesn't clash with a club that is about to start racing on Saturday. With both clubs drawing from a similar area it would only hurt each other.
Pointless fighting for a finite number of racers

Works for me hopefully numbers would compare with Friday nights for a good level of competition I for one would consider shifting over from Fridays.

Which club? Whalan? When is that track going to be ready though........a week, a month, what if there is a delay? I dont agree in the sense that WHRC is there, built and ready. Why should a club accomodate another that isnt already built?
Its up to Whalan to finish its track and then set its calendar, not for an established club to accomodate one that could be months away.
Your view suprises me, you were a vocal supporter of the now defunct S.I.R running on Fridays head to head with Castle Hill Different motivation maybe.........I dont know.

I wanted SIR because it was a carpet track (12th scale grip ). They picked the night. I think the night was based on availability of the hall.
As for Whalan, I believe the Council has started the work and they have been set a deadline based on a meeting schedule.
Picking a day is always a problem. I know several people who already race at Windsor who will not be able to make Saturdays. I cant see the point of organising on the same day if there is a chance of operating on a different schedule. It will encourage racers to pick a track if on the same day. If on different days then they may decide to attend both.
But whatever .. it is not my decision. This is simply an avenue to discuss possibilities
