Default Windsor Indoor Hobby Centre

Hi All

I thought i would start a new thread for a new year, with a bunch of new ideas.

Hopefully Corey the Goose will stay away from this one.

Good news over the weekend the track had a face lift, the surface was pressure cleaned, all the track imperfections either ground down or filled up, and a fresh coat of Boral put over the entire track surface.

There has also been the addition of some more car friendly corner markers, fresh paint on the boards, and an overall tidy up of the place.

So if you are still on hols come down for a play, there is the usual racing on a friday night, commencing around 8pm, 540, Mini, stock, and mod is currently catered for, but i would say any class can run if a few mates come along.

Dont forget for those trekking down Windsor road the new bypass makes things far easier and faster, and with the widened road it is far better than before.

See ya at the track.

Heya besercoe,

With mod is that basically like a 19T?
What are the fastest motors being run around the track outside of the top drivers like yourself...

Hi Mango

I have been running 5 cell, mostly with a 4.5 to make it a bit smoother, though its still fast, managed to get within 2/10 of the TR one night with the 4.5

A few have run 19t and 10.5 BL motors, and they actually look extremely good on the track, looks like the perfect speed.

A few have been messing with the SP exige 15t brushless system in the 540 class and it looks good, hopefully a class with the slower speeds people want with zero maintenance. Also the units are cheap, i am not sure of the retail here, but should be around $150 for an entire system.

I have also been running 13.5 BL stock a lot, the task of focusing on every corner and trying to get a perfect lap is very good, a big change from the world of mod where you are basically keeping it between the boards.

The Feral 13.5 is going well, easily keeping pace with all the other brands.

Yes, the Feral motors are very good and the price is even better. Lets hope Fish can get 10.5's in.

Yes, the boys are finishing off the track today so it is all nice and pretty.

I would say cars could go on it from tonight, with official racing on friday. I think entries close around 7.45 -8pm.

Thanks for the reply Besercoe,

I want to see if i can get my mod car setup a little better, i was thinking about trying out a 5 cell 5.5 but i think im gunna be too much of a pansy/hack to run it around hard

Those exige systems sound interesting, although i guess if they are running with 540s they are a little slow for what i want, i've got a mini for the go slow fix :P

You will have no trouble running a 5.5 5 cell believe me. If you want to try it i would suggest on most tracks just run a 4.5 on 5 cell. Just enough power to make it interesting.

OOne of the users here, Calvin Holmes aka caltech has been running the exige in his mini too, and it is very equal in perfromance to the other cars around the track.

Default 19 turn

Any starters for 19 turn tommorow night? If 2 of us come out for a run in 19T and there is no one else can we run in mod? It's quite a drive out there for us if we can't get a start.

Cheers
Andy

Dont worry Andy you and your buddy will be catered for.

Worst case scenario you have a race to yourselves.
