Motor Cleaner??? RCTyres says that it will remove the oils in the tyres, which i think is true because Motor Cleaner is like a degreaser

If you use WD40 like most tyre treatments you should bake the tyres, which also helps to get rid of all the slime from the tyres. Often you will also see people wrap their tires in tissue prior to throwing on the tyre warmers.

If you are keen you can clean the tyres prior to a meet and put them in zip lock bags. Theyll be pretty sticky when you bolt them on to run.

If you are softening your tyres up obviously be prepared to accept more wear when using them.

motor cleaner will cause your tires to perish because are taking essential oils out of the tire shortening the life of the tire ,it may also eat at the glue you use to glue the tire on causing the tire to roll of or tear during high load on long sweepers

Cause the tyre to perish?????? When have you seen a tyre last long enough to perish

Most of the top drivers simply spray motor cleaner on to a rag and wipe the tyres over to clean off the rubbish before treating them again with traction compound. As for disolving the glue, they only wipe the flat section of the tyre , not make the tyre go swimming in motor cleaner.
