rc-mini.net and KROMA present 'The return of VELODROME!'
After a break of a good 18 months (Feb 06) its time to open the Cyclone fencing again, take down the chain, and perform acts of rampant stupidity again.
Yep, Velodrome's back...
250 metres of ridiculously high banked concrete oval, r/c cars, and pinions the size of dinner plates. And anyone going slower than 80km/h will have their sexual preferences called into question!
Its not an official meeting as such, its just a fun day. There will be no official races, no timing, no transponders, no power (you've been warned) no bullshit, and NO entry fees.
The whole thing is just for fun. If there are a number of cars that are similar we'll organise some 'informal' heats but the whole idea is just to let people see how stupidly fast they can get their cars to go.
ANY cars are welcome. ANY scale, ANY power source. 1/18th, 1/10th, 1/12th, 1/5th. Gas, Nitro, Electric, clockwork, or rocket.
Be creative, do something stupid!
We WILL run the legendary Top Gun Run for fastest car, and there will be a remarkably pissweak trophy on offer for that..
Coburg Velodrome, Charles St Coburg, Victoria Saturday afternoon, October 13. Gates will open from 12.00.
All welcome... And a $50 bounty to anyone who can hack Jaybo and obliterate his car..(and its Jay who's putting up the $50 too!)

Velodrome...
Will a 1/6th do? I'll be there with my Schumacher Big 6 Lotus Elise... brushless powered of course (if I can get it to make it around a complete lap!).
Last time I was at the velodrome, we judged people's sexual preferences on the colour of their road cars.... my how the world has changed...

Sorry Shane, but we have to fit in with cycling calendar as well. Although the prospect of dodging the two-wheelers has some merit I will admit.
Panic not mangoman, more video will be taken!
