Default !2v power supply

I have just had my 20amp power supply bite the dust after a huge weekend of racing and am after a replacement. This was a cheap one most people would already have but I am after some recommendations as to which one to buy next. At least 20amp, possibly variable or min 13.8v. Anyone know of any good brands and places to buy from?I am in QLD and Ebay just has crap at the moment. Please PM or post your suggestions. Thanks Tom

I have a 40A psu from Jaycar, cost me $150 but I think the 20A version is only about 90-$100

Tom/Drew,

Visit Jaycar on Areodrome rd.

They will be able to fix you up with what you are after.

As Jerome said, pop down to Jaycar for an inexpensive good unit. If you need to save space check out some r/c dedicated p/s's from Integy, MuchMore etc, just make sure they are 240V in, not 110V!

yeh i had one of em go pop but luckily was under waranty
imo much more power master or look up rivergate they make custom power supplies up to 90amps so yeh but are all more expesive than the jaycar maybe double the price but both are 240v (specify that to river gate its on their site)
river gate has a good rep in the states.
pull it apart might be simple?? got nothing to loose

reckon it was the humidity? or bad luck?
oh and the river gate 30amps is a tad more expensive like $312 us soz but ive only heard good things
http://www.rivergatedist.com/bulldog_30_amp.htm
or spring $360 for the 55amps and u can run a motor cooler thatll freeze any thing lol two 8 amp peltiers in parralel lol cools quick and cold lol
seriously though 55 amps ull need 8 amp leads and heavy duty distribution box
but hey u can charger 13 6 cell packs at 6 amps and peak them at the same time cause we all wanna do that

My Jaycar supply Stopped once I swift kick got it going again.

Being a "switched type supply" it relies upon triarc's to induce voltage to start them of.
It is usally a easy fix. (if one's (step)brother is a TV tech).
