What I am trying to do is set up a single place that we can all go to to see what events, be they local, regional, state or national events that are coming up, the rest of the information can be found on the thread or website. I think this will help all of us to work out what events we can get to more easily.

Point taken Nitro dave, but I was hoping the event poster would have the rules either on their websites or in their threads. This is just so we can all see at a glance what events are coming up so we can organise ourselves. As for rules the idea is to go to the site or thread for all the bits and peices.

sorry mate, but just another bump, guys this is a very good idea! MECA organisers, QLD 5th scale and 8th scale gold coast cup organisers, TJ, etc please post all events!

all this info really should be on the ARMACCAS site ideally but it isn't, so lets see it on rctech. this helps clubs plan their future events

Default AUSTRALIAN RC EVENTS CALENDAR

Australian RC Event Calendar (Trial)

Hi all Race Organisers,

Maybe now would be a good time to re-introduce the RC Event Calendar. I was working on this over a year ago and didn't get any response from clubs or drivers so I put it to bed. However, there now seems to be more interest from drivers trying to find out when and where events are on so I dusted it off!

I encourage all race organisers to visit the following link. www.pdnracing.org.au/calendar/

It is a live php based calendar (similar to rctech) and you can create a login and add events, locations contacts etc. I have setup different calendars so drivers can filter their search, so (race organisers) please try and put your event in the corresponding calendar. (If you need a new calendar category setup please email me racing@pdnracing.org.au)

If you like it, please feel free to start using it. Major one off events like MECA, Much More Summer Nats etc can go under "Major Events" and regular club days can be added under "Club Events" (However I will have to add lots of clubs so please be patient) AARCMCC are AARCMCC events...

Another feature is visitors (who don't have to be logged in) can suggest an event! You can view by day, week, month or year (I have found the month view to work the best)

I encourage you to take the time to have a look, please send me any feedback, but I really feel it could be a great RC resource for RC in Australia.

www.pdnracing.org.au/calendar/

Cheers,

Roo

If anyone wants to have a play, you can use the following details if you don't want to create a new account:

Login: events
Password: events

PS. I will try and add the event from this thread to get the ball rolling, but I encourage new events to try and support the RC Event Calendar to see if it can be an effective way to promote RC events and activities.
