Here's one a few of us were discussing today, and relates mainly to Tamiya cars in particular the Mini with it's indigenous servo saver.
Does anyone know which Tamiya type servo saver fits Hitec, JR & KO servos?
>KO & JR are the same as Tamiya ( I think! but correct me if I'm wrong)
>Hitec is the main one, as both seem to be problematic on a hitec servo. Is there one available to suit or should I just use another brand in my mini?

Kimbrough has the best servo savers, pretty much all I use now, most decent hobby stores will stock 1 of 3 types
Futaba spline
JR Spline
Hitech Spline

You need to use the Tamiya servo saver, because the Kimbrough servo saver is too short. JR and KO are the same. Futaba and Hitech have their own. I didn't know Tamiya make their own servo, I thought they used Futaba servos? If you don't get an answer by tomorrow, I will look up the part number when I get to work in the morning.

As far as I know Tamiya do use Futaba servos, sorry for the confusion.
The original servo saver for the mini is the one I really need to know about, as Saint has mentioned it is the correct length for the mini. I think KO & JR are the same spline as Acoms/Sanwa? 'Cos the servo savers are labelled Acoms/Sanwa and Tamiya/Futaba.

Thats right but there IS a large servo saver made by Kimbrough for the KO and JR servos that WILL fit a mini (I know, I used one in a Twin Detonator which needed a larger one again!)

The larger Kimbrough servo saver isn't big enough. You need to use Tamiya HI-Torque Servo Saver part number 50473. It isn't the exact size length of the original Tamiya mini servo horn so you need to add underneath the servo mount an additional spacer about 3mm. Try to make the stearing arms as close to level as you can or your stearing will be messed up.
