Hey.

Good work Josh!!

Last enduro i raced in was in the early 90's!!!!!! was great fun.. had limited qualifying like 2 mins with single fastest lap to count.... was great fun

We used our own cars... one team modified a JRX2 so far that it had a quick change battery system that required a custom chassis... packs slotted in from underneath...

Ah the good ole days!

we'll be at st ives this weekend, we'll have a chat about it all and see if we can secure a date. a quick look at the calendar has me thinking of a few possibilites, perhaps the first saturday of June (2nd) which is on the same weekend as the club meeting which would follow on the sunday, or if we didnt want it on the same weekend as the club meet, run it the sunday after which is the 10th of june

i guess the other thing we have to hope is that St ives are willing to run the event for us and go to the trouble of getting the computer there etc

These teams that are confirming their entry, i want to hear some cool team names shortly

Are there any Melbourne-based people that are interested in running in this?? Seeing as though it's the Queens Birthday weekend it'd be a whole lot easier to get to work on the Tuesday after it.......

Just a thought.......

Cheers

we have had 9 teams confirm they want in on this event.

we may have to change the event to to heats and a final. and have a shorter finall.

eg 20 teams, each team get a 1 hour heat then 2 hour finall for b and a 3 hour final for a

or we all just race 20 cars.

Why not all 20 at once assuming the driver's stand is big enough?

I like the idea of Hornet or Grasshopper even though it looks to be decided. They are more 'authentic' cars and would be fun to own after the event. Just watching them bounce around would be hilarious!

Wow 1 set of tires in 5 hours, that's asking a lot! Same for everyone though so I'm keen.
Sup Cam P?

I'm available if you need drivers of whatever control vehicle

..as long as its not on the weekend of the 1/8 nitro offroad state titles..

Cheers,

Default About that Sand Viper...

I bought a Sand Viper a little while ago - if you come off the jumps and the showground a little funny and the nose, specifically the front shock tower digs in, theres around a 60/40 chance of holding/breaking - to get around this i coated the replacement shock tower in a few layers of quick dry superglue and this made them stiffer - I would recommend this for everyone's viper, or at least make sure you bring a spare shock tower!
i don't have mine anymore but I'd love to compete, are there any teams needing an extra member to help finance/race etc.?

ok, sounds good guys.

heres my thoughts,

with 3000's or a high capacity pack, you would get huge run time with the 540 motors.

so let make it a smaller capacity pack, say around 2000mah (as they are super cheap. something like the lrp range. (im sure some1 would hook as up...hint hint big mumma)) and lets look at a bit quicker motor as the y would be boringly slow with the 540's. some thing like a sports tuned would be my pick.

2000's and sports tuned motors. thumbs up

i agree with the sports tuned, RS540's all round and cheap too! but the whole idea is to get people to be as equal as possible and make the cars last the whole event. 540J's are a dime a dozen. As for batteries, i dont think alot of people will want to buy new packs, just run what you got is best option. I looked into buying a bunch of stick packs and works out a few bucks shy of $300 for 10 stick packs. I'll proly just use my own packs as they'll only be charged once maybe twice over the whole event.
