Default Sydney Auto Salon

Has anyone received any entry forms or heard details on what is happening with the Sydney Auto Salon event. Have not seen anything on this forum for a while. Auto Salon is supposed to be the weekend of 3rd and 4th May. There is nothing on the Auto Salon Web site about any RC race.

AC, Have been to almost all club racing meets and have not seen Matt. That's why I'm asking whether anyone knows what is happening with the Auto Salon event.

The IDM is the man in charge of Autosalon, he has a habit of dropping off the radar every now and again, im sure if/when it goes ahead he will be on here first to tell us all about it.

Dont worry about it, they were successful events, and there is every likelyhood that they will be repeated.

If this is the case it is a pity that he couldn't tell us himself.

the AutoSalon people did not want to persue the RC thingy! (unless others out up the necessary $$$$$$)

any RC club around Sydney already does a better job anyway!

if you think about it on a biz standpoint, per sq metre the rc thing was probably the least "Money making" stall in the whole event. took up alot of space (extra rent) maybe also not enough hobby shop support. it probably entertained the crowds but not the cabin crews wallets! don't get me wrong though i'm not bagging cabin. i'd probably do the same thing if i was in their position.

it costs $200 to $500 to enter a car in the autosalon, imagine how many cars cabin could fit in the space that the rc track took up.
