Hi Ray- After my first ever 1/10 race meet at Mildura, my thought's of the event were only positive As far as interstate driver's (us), Friday is always going to be out, however starting open practice Saturday was very handy to run some laps not under pressure. Unlike most 1/8 meet's. Only issue I think was the presentation, ran a bit late, so your 2Q Saturday would solve that, and still allow us interstater's plenty of time for travel, and open practice.
Tyres- well as far as that goes, there track had near Zero tyre wear all weekend, so if there was a limit, who would care, just save a set for your mains.
Great to race with ya, and we hope more from SA will attend more of your Great Vic event's- cheer's

Option 2 & 1 - means someone can still have a decent shot at qualifying if they can only come on the Sunday

Personally I don't mind control tyres either, as long as it's a commonly used tyre.

What I'd like to have is a few different formats throughout the year. Not at the drivers series. I've never done endurance formats & I'm not sure how to do it either. Those guys that have been at the hobby for a while would know of other formats that work and don't turn people off. The drivers series should be reserved the for the traditional format.

Is that before or after you are the first to enter and then pull your entry at the last minute?

1 & 2 Q sat depending on numbers of entries. Open tyres!

I am wondering when the AGM is going to be held? According to the Keilor Constitution.....(Point 17 Meetings, page 4)
17. MEETINGS
a) The Annual General Meeting of the club shall be held every year between July and September. Members shall be given at least fourteen days notice of such meeting.
http://www.keilorrc.com.au/wp-conten...titution-1.pdf

Also, is there any information about when the re-run of the Vic Title 4wd day will be held?

Thank you

Does that make last years AGM void because it was held in June?

Just asking..........

And as far as the Drivers Series format goes , I'm all for dropping the age-old practice of dropping a round. Make all 2 or 3 qualifiers count , and run 2 finals that both count. Qualifying position to be tie-breaker.

In my opinion it would save a round of racing in time and (possibly) make the round a 1-day event.

Just saying.......

I'm personally not concerned it was held 29hrs early. I'd just like to know when the next one is, and plan for the 4wd Day of the Vic titles!!

On another note, totally understand why you couldn't be at MM. Hope things are much improved on that front. Best wishes.

(Edit: was held 29/6/15 @1900hrs. Technically on 1/7/15 0001hrs its 29hrs- not that anyone would have a meeting at that time ;P lol )

I would like a single 10min qualifying round, with the best 3 consecutive laps counting.

I would also like longer finals. We're not running ni-cads any longer!

*Vic Drivers Series feedback - format and tyre limit*
To all KEORCA members who race in the Vic Drivers series, the club presidents are looking for feedback on recent format changes and some proposed rule changes. Please reply via PM to this page (https://www.facebook.com/KeiloroffroadRCclub/ ) or via email to the club secretary: [email protected]
Alternatively, speak to one of the committee members at next weekends club day.

Format: With entry numbers increasing, it is very difficult to fit 3 qualis / 3 finals in 1 day. This generally resulted in 1 b final and very late finishes. This year a 2 day format has been trialled (Knox Cup: 2Q on Sat, 1Q Sun, 3A/2B. Mildura: 1 Q Sat, 2Q Sun, 3A/2B Finals). Both events had practice open Fridays.
Question: Which is your preference?
1) Previous format of 1 day of racing -even if it means dropping to 2 qualis to fit in the day
2) 1Q Sat is better, with 2 B finals Sunday, practice intil ~230 Sat
3) 2Q Sat is better, with 2 B finals Sunday, practice until ~ 1200 Sat
4) Any format is OK, I just want to race
5) Any other suggestions?

Tyres: A proposal has been made to limit each driver to 3 x pr rear tyres per class during the event (controlled via numbered ID stickers). Tyre range will still be open.
Question: Which is your preference?
1) Leave it open
2) Limit to 3 tyres (open tyre)
3) Move towards a control tyre
4) Anything OK, I just want to race
5) Any other suggestions?

Other feedback:
If you have any other feedback on the series, please let us know.

We are lucky to have such a strong series in Vic and with everyones feedback we can make sure it stays strong, relevant and grows in the future.
Racing, I'd prefer option 1 but understand option 2.
Tyres option 2.

Do we need 3 A Finals? What about 3 rounds of qual with best two counting and one 8 minute final. That could fit into a one day format.

+1 on that. I like that suggestion

And on the subject of tyres/control/limits for Drivers Series rounds. It's tough on smaller clubs like Mildura and Wodonga to get the manpower to conduct scrutineering anyway without asking them to have to monitor tyre numbers and usage.

What does NSW do in their club series? I'd be interested to know

Hi guys fyi racing is on tomorrow. Carpets were taken off yesterday and standing water swept. Sawdust on today. May start a little wet but should be really good.

Thanks to those that helped out yesterday and today!

See facebook page for pics.
