Default EP Offroad Nats Maitland - Control Tyre?

anyone have any official information on the control tyre to be used for the EP Offroad Nats in Maitland at Easter?

Is is going to be control tyre or control tyre/compound? or control tyre/compound and insert?

Cheers,
Brad

its a popular brand, pattern and compound with specific markings and there probably will be an absloute truckload of them comming in for the nats, from what little i know of ep off road i think most drivers will be happy enough and besides which its the same for everyone!

the maitland club will be anouncing it when they are ready i guess

In other words its proline, a special batch marked for the event, available only from the factory door or the track, at the price dictated.

If that is the case (club to confirm) and it is ProLine .... they really only do the M3 compound so why the special marking when only one compound. I know ProLine do have a R3 compound but it is hardly used as it is not as good as the M3. So there is no real reason to have the tyre supplied by club.

It would be good to announce the control tyre as soon as possible so that people can at least practise with tyres applicable to the event

have to agree, hopefully two things will happen soon.

1. The tyre will be announced
2. Maitland get the track completed so we can go up for some club meetings on the new layout with the "correct" tyres in our pit boxes.

Not much point driving all the way otherwise.....

Nice new Tamiya 4wd Cannon.... back for some dirt action hey!

Ben ... yeah back in 4WD for the Nats. Looking forward but no use starting until tyre is announced.

Hopefully the Tamiya will be competitive
