EP Offroad Nats Maitland - Control Tyre?
anyone have any official information on the control tyre to be used for the EP Offroad Nats in Maitland at Easter?
Is is going to be control tyre or control tyre/compound? or control tyre/compound and insert?

From what i have heard, Its PROLINE.
No official say in which type for each class as of yet.

Control Tire? ha since when is it ever announced on time or when rules stipulate?

In other words its proline, a special batch marked for the event, available only from the factory door or the track, at the price dictated.

If that is the case (club to confirm) and it is ProLine .... they really only do the M3 compound so why the special marking when only one compound. I know ProLine do have a R3 compound but it is hardly used as it is not as good as the M3. So there is no real reason to have the tyre supplied by club.
It would be good to announce the control tyre as soon as possible so that people can at least practise with tyres applicable to the event

1. The tyre will be announced
2. Maitland get the track completed so we can go up for some club meetings on the new layout with the "correct" tyres in our pit boxes.
Not much point driving all the way otherwise.....
