Default Advice for Novak GT7 users

It is very important that you run at least one Schottky diode on the motor with the GT7. If using low wind motors then you should run two Schottky diodes. If you do not run them then you will risk damaging your speed controller. This should allow your GT7 to have a happy life.

Yes i've ran my GT7's from new with low winds no issues, but if your diodes or capacitors blow then the speedo can overheat.

no, it's only ever a potential issue with sub 10 turn winds.
