People ask me why i have changed clubs only after one year, the answer is i wasn't allowed to be put in the Ryde challenge cup team for the Ryde round because i had not attended the warm up (nee $$ raiser) round. I went on to TQ and win Stock truck that day collecting the maximum points yet my points were not part of the ryde score, simply because of some silly rule, the reason im a memeber of illawarra is there is no crazy committee (one person committee) making up crazy rules, and i want to help stop maitland from winning this year, i know challenge cup to some isn't so important, but its great racing for me, and i'm glad ive been welcomed at st ives to run at club meetings
Geeeze that is harsh! Love to know what the thinking behind that rule is? Club's are voluntary based. If for any reason you can't do something it shouldn't be held against you! As you did you just have to vote with your feet at the end of the day if nothing can be soughted I guess.

Race for a good club, you will find yourself progressing and it always seems the better drivers and people in general will be at the more fun and friendly clubs like Illawarra and St.Ives...
Clubs like Ryde get bogged down in stupid rubbish and with people who are really really poor examples for the sport when really all we all need to do is turn up, pay our entry fee and have a burn around the track..... and that basically goes for any race meeting, big or small approached in simple terms.
And its awesome racing for club meetings! (except for the bits and pieces rattling round the place) hehehe
I say two thumbs up for St.Ives for a lot of reasons but mainly cause its fun!
and thats why we spend all our money isnt it!

Any chance of moving the stand closer to the track. I'm finding it hard to see the back of the track.

mate you did the math and realised it did not work.
XX-4 -> X-5 = noisy and destroyed by the BJ's.
JConcepts also did the math but theirs was not high school grade and it worked.
NTC3+B4+BJ = BJ4
yeh yeh I know hope I actually pull better times now!!!! If only I could drive a lot better! Can pull some quick lap times when it all comes together with the X-5, then the next lap I'm showing off the bottom of my chassis to the marshalls!!!
