What about numbered marshaling points. Like Ryde. They are also staggered strategically in to cover as much of the track when there are minimal drivers from the previous heat.
Also, there needs to be a crate for marshals to sit on in the infield. Otherwise some people don't know where to stand obscuring other parts of the track, or don't even think of marshaling there.
Diet drinks in the fridge
Marshalling points For the top part of the track at Ryde aren't so strategically placed IMO, particularly the table top. We have numbered points soughted, we will have to start putting them out.
Milk crates keep "disappearing!!!!
I noticed the mo was getting a little oversized there Ant, did the superglue diet work??

IMO staggered starts through the heats are better. If you run grid start there is always a greater chance of you running a slower time over the first 1 or 2 laps, almost like a lucky lottery on the first few corners. More time qualifying? Heats are finals are equal time.

The dirt is coming back, astro on the jumps was poo pood by a few when we did it on the old track, but it is good IMO. I am waiting for some preloved astro from a supplier in Terrey Hills to do those areas that Col pointed out to start off with. Helps heaps to reduce erosion as well.

There is no way that I am suggesting that Ryde to anything right, no way. It goes without saying that St Ives will place them in a far better order, which illustrates St Ives dominance of the whole world.
Technically the milk crates disappeared from the milk company. What a nice journey the little guys are on, I wonder where they will end up next?
Astro turf on jumps looks ugly. How about astro turfing the whole track

Ant, u want a cheap car thats not a b44 and takes stick packs? look no futher than the thunder tiger sparrow hawk xb, check it out man, sick looking wheels too, word
Man, that looks plastic fantastic. Thunder Tiger are Team Associated, or own Team Associated right?
No need to try winning races yet, so I can avoid the B44 for now. Can't even get consistent lap times with the CAT, there is a long way to go.
Looking forward to racing on Sunday.

Yeah i know we keep going through this every now and then and as u state, thats ur opinion, but i dont get why u care if u have a couple of slower first laps, didnt u find the vintage race enjoyable with the grid starts all day, st ives club rounds arent for sheep stations, if people want to turn laps without interruption the track is open 7 days a week if u dont want to race people, im running truck this weekend, the club as far as i can tell is a democratic process, all im asking is that if as a class we approach race control and ask for the box to be ticked that makes it grid starts, that it can happen

Agreed.
The staggered start qualifying is great. It's classy. Ryde do grid starts for qualifying and it just means that you are racing all day long and don't fully get a chance to hone your qualifying skills. Shane at Ryde said staggered qualifying adds a minute to each race, that can't be possible can it?

I'll drop those massive witchs hats up Saturday arvo if anyone is going to be at the track. Cant make it this Sunday, ill be wayyyy hungover.

Must admit Mikey's comments resonate with me. I need more practice driving with a packed grid. The only chance you get to do this in on club days.
I personally see no harm trying out something new for a day.
That thunder tigers sweet!
Wonder why they didn't use B44 suspension. Although I like how they solved the stupid B44/losi front wheel offset by putting the CVAs inside the front wheel bearings and bringing the mounting face in. Those front arms are so chunky too be hard to break them.
I think i'd like to try grid qualifying aswell, like the old days..
Do we still have the bottle with numbered ping pong balls in it to decide the grid for the first race?
Thomas de Bugle. What is a the Lovell Seconds Driver?
Short story which needs to be delivered in person Ant, ask me on the weekend.

Mikey I care that it affects the true way qualifying is done. If you bum out in qualifyers your grid place is somewhere you need binoculars to see your car!! As you know a pile up can see you go from first to last quite easily. And you are entitled to your opinion which I don't get either, but hey we're still great mates!
And my other point is that you get 3 staggered and 3 grid starts, looks pretty even?
There may be a way that you can get around this though. I think that you aren't started until you cut the loop, so if a few hang back and start together, you can have your race. Just a thought....
