No worries Daz, lucky u werent in the first of the stock truck finals, i had no idea who was placed where, and there was a car mixed in the pack i thought was a lap down, so i had a go at him, turned out he was on the lead lap fighting with edwin ip and daniel, i worked it out after the race and went and apologised to him, without trev commentary i need a spotter or something, michael h was helping me out in the second one so i knew who i was chasing

Well Done to the St Ives guys that kicked butt at the Club Challenge, great drive Mikey and Aaron in the truck class, wish mine would hanlde like that! I had a weekend to forget but still had fun. Maybe I was just blinded by the new paint scheme
its weird muzz, my truck always goes well at ryde, and aarons was a jet, i did a few laps on sat with it, all i can say is i was worrried he was going to knock me off my perch, and yeah i concur, top drive from aaron all weekend with that truck, especially that third final winning it, that will be some seriously valuable experience down the track

And on a final note, congrats to all the St Ives members for getting to the meeting, having fun and achieving the great results that mean we have extended our lead in the club series

Mmmmmmmm.......... the Ryde round did clash with our Club Day Muzz.......

Waiting on feedback whether a meet will go ahead or not, but given the circumstances it would not go towards the points score.

In particular I would like to thank DYKM and his lovely wife "Short Circuit" for once again giving me a home away from home for the weekend. Your hospitality is, as always, truly appreciated.

I would also like to thank "Thou shalt not pass" MAV for being a bloody champion as always.

Marg - well , just for being Marg and not requesting payment!!

Mikey - For being such a professional, courteous driver on the track.

Tom "Pockets" Clifford - thanks again for your suggestions and tips on the motors and gearing - great teamwork. Not only are you a great mate, you are a sport as well.

Jason Milward - thanks for taking a whole day out to scrutineer, god knows you would have been itching to drive.

It has to be said that the Ryde club is truly moving ahead in leaps and bounds. It was also excellent to see some good old fashioned light hearted sledging going on between clubs both during the meeting and after at the presentations. NSW is sure lucky to have two great clubs working towards bringing the hobby back to where it belongs. It was great to see the St Ives and Ryde committee members talking together and having a laugh.... racing can only get stronger with the clubs working together.

Cheers guys,

Looking forward to the next round (if I am not on shift)

Cheers

Darryn
Never a prob Darryn "How Long's Ya" J...son, had a great day (maybe not the desired outcome but that's my fault for not getting it together in qualifying) and too glad you achieved what you did. Well done mate.

Mav put in the aviation headset one didn't he

Bloody hell we got more crap in there already i'll have to think of something to block them. Maybe if I just reject any name which is more than 3 words long?
edit: Done that but won't stop them all will see what happens..

i cant explain why i find it so amusing that our online entry gets hacked, i mean whats the purpose, is it kids or a program, it just seems so insignificant, a website of a radio control car club in australia , maybe its like the novice class for hackers, start with r/c online entries, next the FBI database

it's gotta be an automated program which scours the internet for forms to fill out with no authentication required. Dunno what they hope to achieve from spamming those random things though..

Tank, is it a big deal to introduce authentication then? We have to do it to get onto this site anyway.

Yep Mav and his love for anything with aviation...... "Need for Speed" would be his next. And then Kelly McGillis......

Bungle, maybe a simple text field that must have a particular word in it, like they use for some forum search pages. Eg, "Whats the C in R/C stand for?". Or "How many wheels does an R/C buggy have?". Something simple that people would remember each time they fill out the form, and something an automated spam script wont be able to pick up.

Hope the weather is good for Sunday.

Arrow 2nd Sunday racing

Maybe the 2 Clubs need to work in together and St. Ives should forgo the extra meeting on the 2nd Sunday in July and continue on with our 1st and 3rd Sunday meetings. This is just my opinion.

Cheers,
Marg.

I was under the impression that we made the decision to run this Sunday. So much so, I posted it on the St. Ives club website

Want me to amend the announcement?

Since it won't be a pointscore there's less inscentive to run the meet this Sunday.

I was hoping for more input, but not to be. So we can give everyone enough notice, Leo maybe it's best if you can delete the meet for this Sunday. There doesn't seem to be much interest.

See you all on the 3rd Sunday!
