Smile Congratulations.

Congratulations Cameron. We got your txt to say that you made it to the Gong.
We heard earlier this morning that the riders raised over 1 Million dollars. What a great effort.

Racing was cancelled, so you didn't miss a meeting. I wish now that we all had bikes, could have tagged along with you.
(For 1 or 2 K's.)

Did you ride back?

Cheers,
Tony and Marg.

Disbelievers! (Well, Tom is, just wants to get out of giving me that beer you promised )

It was raining for the first 30mins, then we were eating 'roost' for another half hour, then it was fine. I had no idea the crowds that would turn out regardless of the rain!

The Maccas was full at St Peters, full with cyclists that is. I can't imagine having a McMuffin, then riding

There were quite a few crashes along the way, which was inevitable with the numbers and varying speeds. The ultra fast guys were really pushy and impatient, sadly. But the majority were considerate and it was a great day.

There was a Borat team there, and I mean the FULL mankini, nothing else. It was terrible. It certainly motivated me to get in front of them!

No I didn't ride back, I don't think I could have handled another metre, let alone 9000 of them back!

The bike served me well (no punctures either) and we'll have some pics in the next few days to put on the site. The jerseys came out really well, includng the St Ives RC mention on the back! Thanks to everyone again for their support - we managed to raise just over $4.5k. Well done.

No wonder it only took 3 1/2 hours, only 9km ride! HA! You hyped it up and told us it was 90K's!!!! Geeeeeeeeze!

Good luck today with your tips for the Melbourne Cup peoples!

If we were close to Knox (VIC) we could go racing! (R/C) They're having a go today!
