Hey Bohemothcrazy,
we split ppl up into several different classes novice, mini, 2wd stock, 2wd mod, 4wd mod (maybe stock too), Truck, and gas trucks. Since your new I'd recommend starting in novice for a couple of meets then goto gas trucks...
you can register online at

....or on the day. Try and get there b4 9:30 to give yourself enough time to complete registration (pay fees) and get a few practice laps in.... Tony and Marg will help you and there'll be plenty of members who will help you get up and running

The club provides transponders. I think 7.50 for 1 class.

By the way, I need some advice with my CO27. I was just running it on my pulsar at 4v, and it was all fine, but when I had it running between 2 and 3.1 it made a really high pitch noise, is that the bushings?

Just set up my new Spektrum DX2 radio. Does anyone rate the servos that it comes with? It seems quite slow compared to the old Futaba S3003 I had in it before, not sure if there is a speed adjustment I don't know about or if that is wishful thinking?

Do you know what speed they are rated at? You really want to be 0.10 or faster. I'm running 0.08 in my 2WD and 0.06 in my 4WD.

Hank, those servos are very underdone mate, invest in something metal gear with a bit of speed, as Cam said 0.1 sec / 60* @6V or so...... Plastic gears do not last on steering servos even with servo savers!
