good. just return the powertech one then.

I have come up with a new theory which some of you may have experienced previously

Rain + Outdoor Tracks = 0 racing which leads to boredom which drives another behaviour

PC + Broadband + Good exchange rate + simplicity of online shopping = new rc goodies being purchased and a drop in bank account

Ill be taking my multimeter with me when I get it returned.

Also Tom, Ive made myself a splitter for it. Its just a plate thats meant to be on a wall with 8 banana sockets (4 going down each side in a line). Now Ive connected each line with wire, should this be ok or should I insert a fuse in there somewhere? If so what amp fuse?

I'm sure they have a few meters down there!

Yep just connect all the +'s together and -'s together with heavy wire. You can put a fuse inline with the +'ve which will help protect devices plugged in

Yep 14awg will handle 20A easy. you're right with the fuse too, just over what the max you need but will still blow before the electrical wire fails.

Also I dont know anyone who uses a computer powersupply at St.Ives, I dont recall saying I did, or saying that Ive been to a track where people use them. I remember reading it when I saw a guide on how to turn a computer power supply into one you can use for R/C purposes.
Sorry JB, I must have read the post below incorrectly. Also re: 18 B setup: Why would you want the set up of a car/driver that is a lap slower than your current setup ? You may not need the setup with silver springs because the track is pretty smooth at the moment. Yael and I were using the silver springs to tame the rear end down a little. Incidentally, we used silver springs and 10 weight oil.

Just picked up a 40amp power supply because they didnt have 20amp in stock. Ended up paying $150 down from $180 because I kept saying I wanted the 20amp one. Also purchased some bits and peices to make myself a splitter so I can power multiple things off it.

Hey Waz I got the silver springs for my RC18T and they are so much softer. Could you PM me what your setup is on your one?

If I wanna keep my current setup I gotta cut my body because the shocks are rubbing

Also what spur and pinion are you using? I have 12t pinion and 60t spur and I find I have no torque at all. I was planning on either gearing up more or trying a different motor but I do like the one I have in now.

I use the stock spur and I think a 15 tooth pinion... Where do the shocks rub? Don't you have a truck body?
