Hay Jack , Take some advice from when I was in Cadets , lay out every thing you think you need to take and cut it in halve, all you need is a pair of jocks and socks for each day, a singlet for evey second day( turn it inside out) and 1 jumper, 1 rain coat (DONT FORGET IT) , your hotchie( tent) sleeping mat, and sleeping bag, you only need 2 mess tins , 1 for cooking, 1 for boiling, make life easy for your self, cook your baked beans in there own tin, only remove the lid 3 quarters of the way and shove it in the coals , same as the spam and deli ham, yous your bush at as an oven mit, this saves space and eleminates any washing up, dont forget the dunny paper.
TIP OF THE DAY FOR JACK,
KEEP YOUR BOOTS CLEAN WITH EITHER BOOT POLISH OR DUBIN, IF YOUR BOOTS ARE CLEAN AND SEALED, YOUR FEET WILL STAY DRY AND WARM.
if your feet get wet you will be misrible.
Invest in 3 bic lighters and 3 boxes of matches, ( leave the smokes at home) but at least you can start a fire.
If you need any help give us a call, I have trecked all over the snowy mountains 120km 4 days, blue maountains, 85km, 4 days, brocken back at singleton 180km 6 days etc, my pack never weighed 35kg, Dont forget all my adventures at camp knox as well.
And your "Brokeback Mountain" expidition was a highlight I hear!
Mate, what about the 4x4, campervan (fully equipped) and plenty of beer?

shove it in the coals? we have portable gas stoves (no matches for us shifty 14 years olds) and portaloos at the camp sites (how they managed to get a portaloo on brocken back ridge i don't know) Last time you could've counted the things i took with me on your fingers (literally) - the weight is from the stuff we have to carry for the group (god damn stoves - like we need 1 between 2 people!) that makes the weight - some of the people who are less bright and don't realize that stop talking means shut your yapper get to carry water jerries (full ones!).
yeah i still cant figure out how to add the led in - i know it should be simple cos i have a basic grasp of electronics but i cant remember the rule for it - if i add an LED to the ciruit after the resitor but before the diode would it make any difference to the circuit (except a possibly slightly higher discharge rate)?
how big is the usual mini class on the weekends
i will be coming to your track when castle hill changes weeks
i will be rcing 2wd stock buggy and mini
2wd stock is always a popular class and is very consistent, in the other hand the mini class is preferably a stock class rather than brushless setups just to keep it fair, and is very unpredictable, sometimes we have a full class and sometimes we only have 2 or 3.
