Cool New Xray photo from hobby fair

New xray, the "budget" (whatever xray considers as budget i dont know) version. It has molded C-hubs, and mostly all graphite parts that were on the Evo2 are now molded.
Not as much tunability as the Evo2 though.

I heard that X-Ray are bring out another version of the EVO 2 soon. This comes with C-Hubs as standard and is a little more $$$. Don't know if or when they'll make it to Oz

Given this...what would be the kit to go for?? Pillow ball or C-Hub? Why?

C-hub slop was a shocker on the Pro 3. I was hoping that the pillow ball setup on the XRAY would remove this so I'm a bit hesitant to pay more to go C-Hubs again...

Cheers

Andy

One thing you should ever do, compare an Xray to a HPI Pro3.

Have a look at some of the other Xray's being run around Sydney at the moment, you'll find there is no slop in any of them.

The question of C-Hub over Pivot Ball ?
Well I still haven't changed to C-Hub and I believe my car is as quick as the later ones (mine being an EVO1.5)
The C-Hub rear end eliminates the toe adjustment and you can purchase the front and rear kits seperate if needed.

Pete, it does not eliminate the toe adjustment, you have to add spacers to the inboard arm mount.

the only drawback on the c-hubs is that you cant easily adj front caster, it requires the purchase of expensive hub carriers, hopefully the plastic ones should sort out this issue

Hooray, maybe it will have a street price comparable to all other top level cars, hopefully we will see a flood of Xrays hitting the track.

Just make sure that jack does not get one, we wont be able to catch him.

Its a very good arrangement name one other brand of race spec car where you can walk in and be greeted by a wall full of spare parts? well i guess you could include Losi, but they are sold by CMC also.

Of course some brands don't need a wall full of spare parts
