Gear Ratio Help Needed...

My off-roader at the moment is running 11.18:1 gear ratio.I only know this because i found it out from the makers website 5 mins ago. I want to lower the ratio but i dont know the amount of teeth on the main gear, i know the spur is a 20 tooth, and i know the best area for off road ratios is about 6.5:1, can some one help me out with how to get the best ratio for off road, and possibly give me the formula for this...
