Default omission update

It has been brought to my attention that the 'seniors class' has been omitted off the entry form. This class will only run if there are more than 5 nominations. As per the guidelines:

Seniors class (if sufficent numbers)

The entry form omission was an oversight. If you wish to nominate 'senior's class', please do so on the form in writing.

Default ib4200 and gp4300 cells

Hi all,

There is some confusion around the issue of cells that will be legal to use at the ORRCA QLD off-road titles.

Although ORRCA QLD has approved ib4200 and gp4300 cells for use, they will NOT be legal for use at the QLD titles (off-road) in June as the current rules stipulate that with any rule change there is a 'cooling off' period of 3 months.

So the date that these cells will be legal for use in ORRCA QLD events will be 25 July 2006.

Leonard Lai.
ORRCA QLD Secretary.

This is not a ORRCA Rule as such, more over a modification to the original proposal that was put to the committee to increase the cell capacity of batteries. Why did we make this modification to the proposal: Well it’s to ensure that no competitor is disadvantaged 5 weeks out from one of our sanctioned events. The decision to impose a 3 month waiting period is to protect the event to ensure everyone is running on similar equipment. By the time the cells are legal, everyone would have had time to access the new cells available and;
Find if there is any real advantage in buy new cells, and
To save up for them if they see them necessary.

I see it as commonsense not to add this cost to those competing at next month Titles not a hindrance.

ORRCA Affiliated Club are not bound to our rules. So each individual club can decide for themselves, but at ORRCA Qld sanctioned events we will be enforcing the ORRCA Qld Rules at the time of the event.

Regards,
Peter Dooley
ORRCA President

Default ORRCA Gift

The ORRCA Qld Gift this year is a “Pit Towel”......

So it's time to throw away that greasy, smelly, CA glued rag you've been using as a Pit Towel and compete at this years Queensland Off-Road Titles . This way you can not only catch up with friends but you have a brand new towel to rest you weary car onto ...... (One per Competitor)

Dimensions: 150cm x 75cm
Colour: Navy
Logo: ORRCA Qld Logo printed across one corner

NB> Just to clarify again : if you enter 'one' class, you get 'one' free Pit Towel gift; if you enter 'three' classes you get 'one' free Pit Towel gift.....OK

Regards,
Peter
