Default Motor run-in

Me and my dad are keeping an eye out for a charger with a motor run in feature, and preferably a good charger we can actually use.

I know of the duratrax ice.

But what else does it?

Any input is greatly appreciated

I use a 20 amp PWM motor controller kit I got at Dick Smiths. You can connect it to any 12 V source and voila!

I suggest connecting it in a box with a 12 v meter on it so you can dial it in.

I run in for 30 seconds - 1 minutes at 1.5 v and 1 to 3 minutes at 3 v for run in.

Default Run In

The new supernova has a run in function it has a temp cut off for battery charging so they dont get too hot, they tell you IR on discharge and will discharge upto 20amps. The bonus is that they will also do LIPO batteries so if you have a Heli or planes or just go to the new car LIPOs the charger will do the job.

I just sold my 2 CDC and bought 2 of these babies - SENSATIONAL!

p.s. They also do things like stepped charging so you can control the amperage at different stages of the charge.

Ok thanks for the replies guys.

Dad has the supernova 3000, the black one, its not exactly the best charger in the way of how much charge it puts in the packs but its got all the nice features. I take it the Supernova competition, being the competition version charges packs better?

it not better. just different applications

the supernova 3000 is more for nitro and heli users. coz it does PB's and up to 30 cells.

the supernova comp is more for electric users. (does not do PB's and can only do up to 10 cells i think)
