Hey Mark

wow mate, sounds like you have some very interesting cars there!!

The PB came out around 86/87 and its a bit of an oddball buggy so you could give it a run in misfits. we do have the breakout lap time in the class so if it proves to be a bit too fast for the others you could move it up to 4wd 540. either way please keep the 2 speed in it

This ultima with car rear end sounds very cool. If you have time please get some pics of your buggies up

Cheers

Mikey

De-tuning the car seems a bit of a shame though.

I'll leave it to wiser heads than mine to decide. It would be great to see another one out there.

Hey Dean.

I used to race against 2 speed Mini Mustangs for 2 yrs bac in 86.87 with my Kyosho Optima & then Mid. They were very quick in mod but not unbeatable But very hard to beat.

In stock silver Can with a 2 speed they were the quickest down the straight but lost a little time chopping between gears in the corners. Some drivers preferred the single speed on smaller tracks.

Wish I could make it.

Thanks Mark,
I had a feeling there wasn't a massive difference in total lap times, but its always good to have that confirmed by someone who actually raced this stuff in the day. I still haven't run mine on a LiPo yet, let alone do a whole lap, so this is all speculation for me.

The festival is now at the end of October. Never say never mate.

Hey Mark!

thanks for stopping in and offering your experience.

Man they would have been great days to race in, 2 speed PB's vs rear motor optimas vs hopped up hotshots. By the time i had started, the Lazer zxr was king at Castle Hill. I'll be very interested to see how the PB goes, i'm actually mid-way through an Optima Mid project which i'm looking forward to getting out on to the track

Cheers

Mikey

Just stumbled across this gem.

Damn! We've seen some great photos come out of these festivals.
A lot of very fond memories all to some classic 80's melodies.

Also great news!!

Hobbyking are back supporting our great event again

We'll have more details as we get closer to the date but expect there to be another cracking set of raffle prizes up for grabs

Also now for the 4th year in a row, team blue groove are supporting our event by offering a body set for the winner of the MVP award again.

We sincerely thank Hobbyking and Team Blue Groove for their continued support of the festival

Cheers

Mikey
