Hi I am about to buy a heap of tires for the event and I want to know how they will be checked? Ie a certain size or just sealed in original pack.
The reason I ask is that I use shepherd/matrix tires and now they sell
Them 62mmfront 64mm rear pre trued in sealed bags.
Otherwise I'll just buy the full sized ones.

Purchase them as full size. What happens is you present them at scrutineering sealed in the packet. You then are required to open them in front of the scrutineer's. They are then placed through a Perspex gauge device supplied by AARCMCC. If they do not meat the gauge specification of width and diameter you will not be allowed to use them.
So if you purchase tires in the dimension indicated I am confident they will not meet the correct spec's.

Hi Guys,
We will make the effort to attend the ACT state titles, you guys have supported other clubs as well so thats great.
However what I can gather from these post on Rc tech is the cost of tyres. All clubs must make the effort in reducing cost of racing as a first priority so that we can encourage new racers to join and travel to support other states. I do agree that a lot of tracks will require different compound tyres so let the drivers and teams decide what they prefer to use and what tyres they have plenty of and are able to use on other tracks. Cheers Frank

Thanks for the feed back. However if you read all the posts in the thread we have chosen to not continue with the controlled tire for the event.

Entry list #1 updated.
With only 4 weeks to the event entries are looking pretty low.
Where has everyone gone. We need more entries.

If you use the information below it will help you enter. The event itself is not located under the normal Alycat online race meeting screen.
http://www.alycat.com/oed.
When "online entries for drivers" window opens please follow the instructions below:
Your meeting not in the above list? Your club using 9.5? click here
Hope this helps.

If you don't get the numbers for GT, let me know and I will bring my 1/8th down instead. Looking forward to this.

Hopefully there should be enough GT entries.
