For anyone yet to book accommodations the preferred motel which is only
a couple of minutes from the track is the Lilydale Motor Inn. They have catered
for R/C people for many years and supply rooms down stairs with parking
just outside the rooms.

Contact them on (03) 9739 3900 and mention that you are there for the RC Vic titles.
Rooms are still available at a great rates.

What time is the track open for practice Thursday?

Got a big drive Thursday morning but want to be there for maximum track time (need it ).

Also, given the numbers, will the qualifiers be 5 min?

Track will be open from at least 8.00 in the morning if not earlier. Engines can
only be started from 9.00 till 6.00 on Thursday & Friday.

We will be running 10 minute qualifying. There will be 3 heats of pro-tourer and
3 heats of 1/8th. 6 heats in total.

To all club members, please note that table, chairs & tents will not be available.
All MRCCR members must bring their own table, chairs & tents.

Due to the numbers of interstate competitors, the undercover area, extra tables and chairs is reserve for our visitors only.

Wow...what a fantastic 4 days.

A massive thank you to the MRCCR team for putting on a great event...everything was top shelf from the canteen tucker to the track presentation. But perhaps the most impressive and pleasing thing for me was the friendliness of the organisers and participants...with special mentions going to Brian Malaquin for pitting for me (and Chris at the same time) and Nick Salib for going out of his way to make me, and from what I could see all the interstate participants, feel like I'd been a club member for years.

Being the first time at a track outside of Canberra, driving this track was both intense and heaps of fun - especially screaming into the right hander at the end of the straight...cool. Was mad to see the fast guys smash the track.

For any newbie contemplating attending an MRCCR event, do it...you won't be disappointed.

Thanks again and I'll definitely be back for more.
