I don't think the final track design for State Titles is necessarily fully in place yet.
But St Ives in a 1/10 scale track. Hence getting in lots of big jumps is not easy. There is limited space in which to work.
And the track sees most use by people that have a skill level far below the best mods drivers. So the track has to cater for them 51 weeks of the year.
You don't keep members (esp novice or those starting out) if they end each race day with a huge repair bill.
I saw plenty of people with a smile on race day yesterday.
Hopefully others will still come along and find sufficient challenge and enjoyment.

Last year the council banned camping till further notice so sorry no camping at the showgrounds any more.

We actually struggled to find a hotel or motel that's close to the showgrounds. There's the Killara Inn on Pacific Hwy and North Ryde options would be the closest.

There is a caravan park at Terry Hills 5mins from the track that has cabins.
There is also the Ascot Motel in Wahroongah and the Pymble Hotel also has rooms, I couldn't vouch for either but Pymble is closer than Noth Ryde and the motel is cheap.

Ibis Thornleigh is about 15mins from the track.
