And guys. That puts me in mind to remind you that this isn't a serious race event. We encourage everyone to share what cars they are bringing to the meeting to race. Better to let us all know up front what you have and what's been done to it rather than put us in the position of having to question/check when it's all too late

cheers

Damnit Jak!

I was going to drop truck this year to keep the my entries down. Now I have to defend my wooden spoon from you again!

I noted you went with a beetle this year. So glad you thought to branch out and try something new

Plastic and hotshot clarification: I forgot to mention that bearings are an acceptable upgrade along with the others listed. You don't need to use the plastic bushings

cheers

Share pic of testing for festival

New paint job on a TBG sidewinder body, bleed caps, and an Avid three plate slipper, plus MIP light weight top shaft for my '91 RC10graphite for this year, along with new Fantom Pro-series shorty packs, and an 6.5T IonV4 down from last years 7.5T.. For a little more punch

Just started my shopping list for September just in case some of it is hard to get. Not as big list this year, but with two new models to contend with I'm sure it will grow some more. Think I might put a dollar limit on it this year though, last year was a bit silly.

Hey Nick. What cars/classes you planning on running this year?

It is a good thing with the vintage cars not being run to often that one you have one sorted is usually only a light refresh and she's ready for the next event!

So far I'm looking at

2wd 540 - kyosho triumph
2wd mod (maybe) losi jrx pro se
540 truck-kyosho outlaw
4wd 540 -lazer zxr
4wd mod (maybe)- tamiya top force

Yeah, its always fun to come up with a runner list far out. It doesn't have the same reliance on reality as the list you produce a month out.

So far I think I'm going to go with:

Saturday:
Plastics - Wild One.
Purist - AYK Buffalo - however I need to clarify the rules on tyres. I've got choices at 1.5 but am not confident that I've got the kit tyres exactly.
Vintage Stock - Kyosho Raider.
Which ever truck class Rizzo enters - Kyosho Outrage ST

Sunday:
Vintage Stock - Terra Scorcher (dropping back from mod)
Chain/Cage - Rocky
Hotshot - Boomer

I scored a Marui Coors Melling Thunderbird last month and I'm trying to convert it into a Shogun, but that'll depend on me finding some parts. I;d love to run that in the 4WD stock class for a round or 2.

Anyone got a rear gearbox for a Shogun??
The guys who owned it last built the gearbox dry and melted the sidewall the heat of the lay shaft
