There is also a Big 4 just around the corner but have no idea what its like to be totally honest!.

Airport is a little under an hour as a straight run, very hard to estimate in peek hour traffic so best to avoid peek hour where possible.

Chifley Hotel in Hallam is what we use at work when we bring in clients from interstate. Haven't stayed there myself but hear it is decent. It is about a 5-10 minute drive to the track though.

Default Blinky approved motor list

I am wondering if the 21.5 blinky list will be adhered to in the upcoming state titles at dandenong? How strict will the scrutineering be?

It's great that the list was updated to include the new sonic Mach 2 motor.

However, it seems that some reference numbers for motors on the approved list are way outdated:

Eg trinity TEP1057 has not been available for a few years according to the manufacturer.
And trinity TRI 10415 pulse motor also appears to be unavailable as it is an old model.

Will the interpretation be that you can run any later model motor made by a manufacturer that has an old model on the list?

It would be greatly appreciated if serccc or vortec could make a call on this ASAP with the event only a month away.

Some of us suckers bought a motor that matches the product number specified on the list....

Hi,

As per discussion today we are running to vortec rules and the motor list they have. This will be scrutinized on the day.

Thanks.

Will.

I thought in most cases that if the motor is ROAR approved, you are fine with the VORTEC rules.

I knew there was a VORTEC list, but is was pretty out of date

With the unfortunate timing of the VORTEC website being down we have provided all the relivant VORTEC rules within the Technical Regulations section of the VIC titles page on SERCCC's website. Also available for download is the 21.5 Blinky list for those entering that class. Please pay special attention to the motor list as this is will be checked over the course of the event.

No Problem mate we're glade to be of help, we have also checked the list and there are plenty of motor on the list that are still available so no one should have issues with them. Like any event tho we recommend not leaving things to the last minute!

As for Motels/ Hotels Glen Waverly is the better place to stay.
Are you going to grace us with your presence Mr M?
