We're up to 40, with 2 weeks till entries close.

Still need more drivers for F1 and Mod TC, and one more for Sportsman would be good.

It's great to see the Tamworth guys coming down. Todd you'll do fine. I saw you staying within 15 seconds of Corey Broadstock in the last final at Tamworth this year, even with having to do all that other stuff on the weekend.

Daniel, we will know more of who is coming down after racing this weekend. I'll be geeing our members up a bit more to come. Its great fun getting to race on other tracks. You honestly learn so much by doing so.

And as for that last final, using a very old 10.5. I must have got something right. (Driving good comes to mind). I certainly am looking forward to the Grand Prix.

Hi Jeffrey,

I will certainly do that for you.

If it is just a matter of needing a transponder to run Mod TC as well I can lend you one, or we have Club Transponders. If you need a receiver as well, let us know what you need and maybe someone will have one they can lend.

We're now passed 50 entries!

And another sponsor has come onboard. World Championship winning aftermarket parts manufacturer Bugle Boy racing will also be contributing prizes for our raffle.

Default Good news for F1 racers

Great news F1 fans!

RCFormula1.com are sending us a medal to award to the best presented F1 car at the meeting. The winner will also feature on RCFormual1.com's pic of the day!

So, if you're entered in the F1 class, or are thinking about it then get to work detailing your car and you could win off the track as well as on it.

If you're still umming and arring about whether to enter F1, hopefully this get you over the line and we can get a whole group of you.

-----

Also, entries have been updated. We're now sitting at 56, with 10 days to go before entries close, and 16 till race day.

Current entries stand at 61. We still need more entries for Mod TC and Formula 1, but there is still more than a week before entries close, and I think more people might consider entering the Monday after the State Champs.

If we get many more entries we may have to consider moving the start time forward a half hour. We'll announce the final start time at the close of entries.

The most popular class at the moment is Stock Touring with 15 entries. 12th Eurostock has 14 entries. There are 22 12th scale entries total, which is very pleasing to see.

I'd like to announce another raffle prize sponsor: Frontline Hobbies. Frontline are the biggest hobby store in Newcastle and are great supporters of both the Newcastle and Maitland clubs.

There are defiantly 2 more for mod, 1 F1 and 1 Eurostock coming down from Brisbane and 3 maybes for Mod, we will have our nominations in after this weeks club meeting, so we can drum up a bit more support, we defiantly want to come down with a full car load or perhaps more.

Great to hear guys, a few more in Mod and F1 will make the meeting. Having drivers from Queensland make the trip down will make the meeting feel a little more special too.

We're also thinking of going to a single long final in F1 (between 10 and 15 mins) instead of a triple A to save a little time. Does anyone have any strong thoughts on this one way or the other?

The earlier everyone can enter the better. We're up to 67 entries at the moment, and if we get a real rush on we may have to cap things off. Some of the classes are going crazy. We're on the cusp of an extra heat in 12th Euro (to make 3), 12th Mod (2), Stock TC (3) and Mini (2).
