Hornet is on its way
I'm intending to run as per box, with lipo power as the only new bit.
Will the gearing be ok or will I need to chuck a few teeth at it to be
as competitive as a hack like me can be?
any advice old car guru's?

cheers

Dan

Hey mate,
I'd be very keen to run but probably not an enduro as it plays havoc on the parts being not stop running even with silver can classics !!

Where about a is the track in Ringwood and is it indoor or out ?
Wouldn't mind paying them a visit with my buggy and have a drive there as my mum lives in Doncaster. I'll visit her after my fun though

Cheers

Way to go high-jacking this thread guys...fictional races at the WOT track are just those....fictional. Start that other thread.. I'll probably show up
Focus on the great day that is going TO happen at Knox.
Team Hack may even do snags on bread if time allows!
All vintage guru's are welcome to come down.
As nobody answered my gearing question I'm forced to run 13.5T to get the speed I like....only kidding. 540 stock as come with the hornet kit.
Max, time to get those entry forms out there so people can register and pay.
Only have a few weeks to go and I would like to see that side of things tied up before the race weekend starts!
If you need any help from the Knox committee just ask.

cheers

Dan
Ps: hornet is coming along well

Default Enduro Entry

ENDURO

Entries will now be taken for the enduro, send me the names of the team members and the class of car you will be running via PM, there will also be paper entry forms available at the next Knox meeting. Remember that all enduro entries must be silvercan powered. I will add an entry list to the first thread.

VINTAGE RACING

Entries for the vintage racing classes will be taken on the day. There will be no limit to vintage entries for racing classes.
As this is a raceday primarily for vintage cars we might need to restrict entry for the regular club day classes. If we ask everyone to only enter 1 regular class we should be able to keep the numbers under control.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

I'm assuming the normal vintage racing will be 540 powered too ??

Thanks

As per the first post there will be two classes, one for early plastic type cars that will be 540 silvercan powered only, and one for the later "race" type cars, that have a choice between 540 silver or black cans and 21.5 brushless in blinky mode.

If I might make a suggestion here, why not make it a vintage only meeting? I'd like to make the trip down from Sydney but its a tall ask if it means but a couple of classes alongside modern classes. The numbers ARE out there, Castle Hill just did a 2 day festival devoted entirely to vintage and classic cars.

Just do it Han. Castle Hills last enduro went for 6 hours, with all teams bar one finishing. That's right six hours, it wasn't a typo. You could run a 1 hour enduro with a single battery pack change if you gear correctly.... it's isn't anywhere near as damaging as you think it may be.
