Thats right folks the Serpent Tour of Australia is on again. Bring your A game this is set to be a cracker!!!!!!

Electric & Nitro
1/8 scale nitro, 1/10 200mm Nitro touring car, 1/8 GT touring
Modified, 17.5 stock, 1/12 scale, f1(21.5)

*** Minimum of 8 per class *****

***Open to all brands***
Event Schedule:
• Friday 6th September
- Practice from 11.00am to 5pm
• Saturday 7th September
- Practice 7:45am to 11:45am (EP & GP). - Drivers meeting at 11:50am.
- Racing starts at 12:00pm (3 QLF rounds)
• Sunday 8th September
- Racing starts from 8:30am (2 QLF rounds) - All Finals.
Award and Prizes:
• Trophies will be awarded to all A finalist.
• TQ will also be awarded a separate trophy.
General rules for EP:
• 4 door sedan no sports/GT/GTP types bodies for TC classes.
• Any Ni-MH battery (7.2v) and any hard case Li-PO battery (7.4v) may be used.
• Tires are open for all classes.
• All cars must have independent suspension and must not use direct drive transmission (except 12th scale & F1).
• Only one rear wing is allowed. No front wings permitted.
• A minimum of 8 entries per class is required, for said class to run.
• Qualifying will be rocket rounds system.
QLFs
• The heat for TC Modified will be 5 minutes with maximum of 10 cars per heat.
• The heat for TC Stock will be 5 minutes with maximum of 10 cars per heat.
• The heat for 12th scale class will be 8 minutes with maximum of 10 cars per heat.
FINALS
• The final for TC Modified will be 5 minutes with maximum of 10 cars and minimum of 4 cars per final. • The final for TC Stock will be 6 minutes with maximum of 10 cars and minimum of 4 cars per final.
• The final for 12th scale class will be 8 minutes with maximum of 10 cars and minimum of 4 cars per final.
• The A main will have 3 finals and one final each for lower finals
1:12th & F1
• All cars must be two wheel drive & use direct drive transmission
General rules for GP:
• A minimum of 8 entries per class is required, for said class to run.
• Any sedan bodies with EFRA approval for Tourer.
• All finals will be the ABC system. A-30 minutes, B-20 minutes, C-10 minutes and all lower final will be
5 minutes.
• The top three from the lower finals will bump up to the next final.
• All heats for GP will be 5 minutes each with 8 cars in the heats and minimum of 4 cars in the finals.

So for F1 it states must be direct drive. So the 3 Racing FGX is considered illegal for this event as it is not direct drive... ?

Good point. I have never looked at the car before now interesting design!

I will ask the organisers over the weekend and reply asap.

FGX has been allowed at all rounds in Australia so as not to exclude current cars and manufacturers
In Australia 17.5 would have been the preferred option for these cars due to their inability to run big rollouts as 21.5 are currently running

The 3 racing FGX is legal for the Serpent Tour.
