- Launceston RC will be running a canteen for the event

Hi Richard.
Looks like an interesting event! And a few of us from Vic have talked about running at a Tassie meet after missing the Tas Titles.
But one thing that makes it a very difficult proposition, is to attend an interstate event that is on open tyres, and have only 45min of allocated practice.. As to make the trip worth it, I'd run at least three classes.
Is there any option being looked at other than race day morning practice?
Cheers
Mark Rogers.

G'day Mark.
Glad to hear that a few Victorians are looking to come down for the cup.
Practice is a trickier proposition as we will be changing the track and setting up for the event on Friday Night, however I will bring up practice with the committee and see if we could have a later practice session on the Friday night. As to tires, I'm sure that plenty of members can offer advice as to what is working best.

This event is the same weekend as the Wodonga Bash which is a round of the Vic Drivers Series and at the same track that the Vic Titles will be on later in the year.

We just can't seem to win a trick with dates. Is there any central calendar for major race events in Australia?

I was just about to enter but the online form only allows 2 classes to be entered? I was going to enter 3 classes. Can the form be updated?

That was a side effect of the way that the form was set up I am working on updating it today. Until then, do two forms if you need to, and the ammount will be corrected in the entry spreadsheet.

Theoretically today, however from today on we will start closing entries for particular classes allowing entries to be taken for those still open until the day of the race.
Cup Update with 1 week to go!
That is right, next weekend we will be kicking off the third annual Tiger Models Launceston Cup, and the first time that the event has been held over two days, and the first time it has been held at Quercus Park. Numbers as of this morning sit at 90, with a few familiar names missing from the entry list still!
To see who has entered in to your class, or find out if there is still space for you to enter another vehicle, head over to the 2013 Launceston Cup page and check it out. There has been a lot of additions and changes over the last few weeks as information has come in and details have been confirmed.
For Example, did you know that despite having no Cafe this year, that there will still be Hot and Cold food available? Bracknell primary will be running a fantastic BBQ offering Hamburgers, Sausages, Saveloys, Soup, Tea and Coffee! Launceston RC will be running their usual canteen with Water, Soft drinks, Chips and Chocolates.
Did you know that on Sunday not only will there be a static display of RC Drift Cars, but also the Tas Radio Rock Crawlers will be running a display and friendly comp outside?
Did you know that there will be a Concours Competition at the start of racing each day? In fact the winner each day will be presented with a brand new Proline Body for their efforts!
Did you know that where we normally park for racing will be a display, food and dropoff area? Check out the map on the Launceston Cup page to see where we will be parking everybody for the Cup.
Did you know that there will be a MEGA RAFFLE drawn at the conclusion of racing on Sunday with over $400 worth of prizes from our AMAZING sponsors!
