Default Maitland Christmas Sprint and 4 Hour Endurance Race (EP10 OFR), 16/12/12.

Race Director: Daniel Cotton; Assistant: Paul McLean

Venue: Valley View Raceway, Maitland (Harold Gregson Reserve, off High St.)

Date: Sunday the 16th of December.


Racing Starts: 8.30 am.

Christmas Sprint

Format: 3 rounds (2/3 to count). All grid starts, random grid. 5 minute races.

Layout: Each race is to be run on a different track format.

Cost: $5 for members of MORCC or other recognised clubs. $5 surcharge for non-members. Information on how to join the club is here: http://www.morcc.com.au/smf/index.php?topic=3501.0. First race meeting FREE.

Accepting nominations for regular classes: Rookie, 2WD Stock, 2WD Mod, 4WD Stock, 4WD Mod, Stock Truck, Mod Truck, SCT, 4x4 SCT. If you've got something else please let us know. Modified and Stock groups may run together but be credited separately.

Certificates will be awarded for the top 3 in each class on the day.


Maitland 4 Hour Endurance Race

Layout: Long Loop.

Format: 1 x 4 hour race with 4 x 3 min qualifiers.

Cost: $48 per team.

Prizes: the winning team will receive medallions.

Rules:
1. 3 drivers minimum, 4 maximum. Each Team must supply a marshal at all times. Please nominate as a team name, and list drivers where known, TBA acceptable. Each driver must drive for a minimum of half an hour.
2. Only one vehicle is permitted per team. The vehicle must be an AARCMCC legal 2WD or 4WD Buggy or Stadium Truck or SCT Tour legal Pro-2 SCT. The vehicle must weigh no more than 1900 grams race ready. No minimum weight limits will be enforced.
3. Motor/ESC is open so long as a 540 can size is used. Hint: faster motors will use more battery life, and be harder to drive consistently. Maximum nominal voltage 7.4V.
4. All work on cars must be carried out either in the pit lane, or paddock area.
5. Qualifying will be made up of 4 3 minute runs, with one run per driver to take place at the end of each of the Christmas Sprint rounds. The single fastest lap will be used to determine qualifying order.
6. Marshalling of broken or stopped cars is to take place as would be normal in an IC race.
7. The race director shall decide what is fair in the case of any ambiguity.
8. No warnings will be given for any offence. All infringements will result in a drive-through penalty in the first instance. The Race Director may impose harsher penalties if deemed appropriate.
9. Race duration will be 4 hours plus the completion of the last lap.

Need team members or a transponder? Post here and ask. There are probably others wanting to compete as well.

We are only limited by the number of drivers we can fit on the stand.

To encourage a few more Enduro entries we've decided to halve the cost per team.

That's right only $24 per team now ($6 each)!

Come on and enter, it will be loads of fun.
