Hi all,
Seeing as AARCMCC decided to make 2wd SCT 10.5T blinky, there is a lot of talk about running the series in this format for both 2wd SCT & Stadium Truck.
With the series being all about the racers, I would like to hear everyones thoughts on running 10.5 blinky for both classes.
There are plenty of pros & cons either way, but we will go with the majority decision. Please keep in mind the 1st round is only 1 month away.
So the options are - Reply to this thread to cast your vote or on our facebook page http://www.facebook.com/SeqldProTruckinTour
2wd SCT - 10.5 Blinky or
2wd SCT - Open (motor/ESC)
Stadium Truck - 10.5 Blinky or
Stadium Truck - Open (motor/ESC)
It will be interesting to hear everyones choices.

honestly it should be inline with the sports governing bodys to be honest
its really strange how some states / clubs run there own rule against the sports goverening bodys
my vote is 10.5 blinky for sure that way people doing title events etc dont have to have different motors
Pro 4 is open plain and simple but 2wd go with 10.5

Thanks Darren,
I guess the main issue is for the guys that run their current set up that doesn't comply & may not be running at the Nationals etc. it is an addtional cost to change motos/esc to comply with the rules.
As most clubs run (especially 2wd SCT) as an open class & even all the rtr kits don't comply, it is an added cost not everyone is willing to fork out for.. The last thing i want to do is turn people away from running the events because they don't have the correct equipment, but they can run at their normal club events.
It will be interesting to see everyone ones comments.

but if you think about the cost of getting to these events and to run a car a simple $80 motor is not expensive for this sport
all esc should have a blinky mode anyway and my guess is the top guys would not even think twice about the change over
all good either way but i know all gold coast guys are only running 10.5 blinky in stadium as that rule was brought in with plenty of time , i for 1 dont want to be blown away by a mod stadium truck on larger tracks as most only have blinky esc so its a catch 22 for both then

Just confirming all classes will stay as "open" motor & esc for this years tour. We might look at changing them in the future but for this series it will stay as open.
