Cool 2012 Mallee Madness VI

2012 ORRCA Drivers Series - Round 3 - Mallee Madness 6.1 (+8mm)


Dates

As per the ORRCA calendar , the race schedule will be:

Practice day - Saturday 9th June, early until late subject to track maintenance interruptions
Race Day - Sunday 10th June, 7.30 drivers meeting, 8.00am first race

As per ORRCA rules track will be open 7.00am to 7.30am Sunday morning for practice (BYO lights)

Entries

Entries accepted by RCTECH PM to mdapk or email to [email protected]. Please include full name, classes, frequencies and transponder numbers.
Entry form is attached but you don't need to fill it in, just PM or email as above.

Payment

$15 first class, $10, second class. Payment on the day.

Food and drinks

Lunch will be available Saturday and Sunday, breakfast available on Sunday.
Drinks available for purchase Saturday and Sunday.

If anyone would be interested in going down the pub Saturday night for dinner please let me know when putting in your entry and we will make a group booking.

Rules

Usual ORRCA Drivers Series rules will apply.

If there is enough interest from drivers in visiting the quilt exhibition that is being held the same weekend we might consider dropping a heat and organising a bus, please let us know so we can make appropriate arrangements.

The Golf Club is about 700m from the Club (by road, about 150m cutting across the course), The motels are all about 4km from the track and the caravan parks are about 5km from the track.

You can also use the Mildura Visitor Information Centre who can arrange bookings at any motels in the area free of charge, their number is 1800 039 043.

Can't wait for the smack down VI, Mildura puts together a great track and top event. From what I hear the changes to the track will make it even more awesome!

I hope the dates haven't changed,the long weekend has all ways meant it was a good relaxing weekend away from the missus. Plus a few of the Keilor lads have booked accommodation.

I believe the mallee madness has been on the 1st weekend of june for the last 3 or 4 years.

As far as I know it is booked in for that weekend this year aswell.

If you look at this post from December (and the calendar attached) it shows the 10th June as the date.

Personally I have booked accomodation for the weekend and more importantly asked my wife to change her shifts for the event. Being a long weekend accomodation isnt easy so quite a few of us have booked early.

Date change = no attendance from me. That will probably make some people want to change the date
