Will we be using marked tyres for the event? Ie. do we need to purchase tyres from the club or can we supply our own?

Cheers,
Scotty P.

It means you must use the standard insert with the controlled tyre, ie 2wd rear but may use any insert in the uncontrolled like the 2wd fronts.

They are just referring to the "controlled rim" as package tyre and insert for 2wd rears for example. Could say controlled axel might be a better term

And can we glue them up before we get there or is there going to be controlled gluing?

Controlled rims refers to the wheels which are controlled (i.e. 2WD Rear, 4WD Front & Rear). Nothing to do with the actual Rim itself. I hope that made sense.

Hi Guys,

On each day of competition, you present up to 6 sets of tyres, glued to rims, to pre-scrutineering, for inspection & labelling. These can be purchased through the Club (A tyre order form will be available shortly) or self supplied. Once inspected, you will be given a set of labels to apply to the inside of each rim, which will be attached before you leave the scrutineering area.
Just make sure you have the correct colour marking on the tyre. No colour marking, no good.
