Sweet. Thanks very much. I'll pass that on to Pete, and hopefully two more people will join the fun before the end of the day.

Ok, I've passed that information on to Pete.
You two make the minimum we needed to run EP8.
Of course, more are welcome. ...In all classes!

Yesterday was hot and windy with no rain, this morning there is persistent light rain. Even after heavy rain with the drainage we have now the track can be ready to run on in 2 hours, less if the rain is lighter or if the Sun is out, so our chances of racing are still good.

I've just rung Council and they've told me that they are happy for us to make the determination on the RC car track because we are the ones who maintain it. Usually with these closures the main thing is the potential for damage to the facility, and the cost to council to repair. So long as people drive carefully and don't rip up the grass, I think they'll keep letting us make the call.

Peter was at the track today, his assessment of the current condition was:
"A few puddles on track about 12pm it didnít look too bad just as long as it stops raining."

The forecasts for Sunday now say partly cloudy. Saturday there is rain forecast. We'll try and keep everyone updated over the weekend, but your chance of Saturday practice is probably not as good as your chance of racing on Sunday.

I just arrived at the track 5 minutes ago.

It is sprinkling, but the track is still very damp from overnight rain. There are small puddles and the pit area is wet.

There is no chance of practising today.

The weather radar (http://www.weatherzone.com.au/radar/nsw/newcastle) indicates that it may soon stop raining altogether.

The weather forecast I am looking at (http://www.weather.com.au/nsw/maitland/detailed) indicates that we may not get any more rain after this cloud band passes, and that it is likely to be "mostly sunny and mild" tomorrow morning with low humidity and it reaching 29 degrees during the day.

If that's the case we will be racing tomorrow.

There might need to be a short delay in the morning to bail out the pit area or do a little track prep, but given that forecast racing will be on.

If the forecast is wrong and it is raining tomorrow morning then we won't be racing.
