Well I have been to the last 5 national titles but I am afraid that I will not be attending my sixth as mini cheese is due mid Feb. I wish all all the competitors and club the best of luck and I hope the rain stays away.
Personally not a fan of the Eastertime slot but then you cant please everyone.
Also this is the last Nationals for qualifying for the IFMAR Worlds in the USA in 2013. To qualify you must do a nationals and three state titles in the two years prior to the worlds.
Happy racing

Good luck with the little fromage - or should I say "baby belle"!

As for the qualifications for the worlds - I reckon that has been made a total farce of in the recent past........

I am sure that is the "öfficial" stance - but is sure has slid somewhat!? Mind you - there might be a bit more interest seeing it is the worlds in the US - alot cheaper to attend.

Cheers

Darryn

With the worlds in the usa everyone from around the world will want to attend so places might be a bit harder to get. I wanted to go to Finland so I made sure that I qualified as I dont like leaving things to chance.

Yeah mate- that's what I was getting at in a roundabout kinda way.

Really thinking hard about what class to enter - as I might be in the financial position to actually attend in the US. Big issue for me is that I don't reckon I would be a top 20 in Mod at nationals level, maybe state - but not national.

I really enjoyed driving Micks DEX210 with a mod in it a few weekends ago - mod is so much more forgiving to drive on the jumps, you dont have to take the wrong line for a corner to get enough speed to clear a jump - just punch it......double edged sword I know.

The new track is gonna be awesome for the Nats (from the designs and ideas presented so far) - cant wait to start driving it.

Cheers

More than one race counts for Nationals qualification.

Quote:
1.3.1 The AARCMCC EP Off Road State and National Championships are used to award points to competitors for National ranking for Championship qualifying grid seeding and for nominations for IFMAR World Championship events.
1.3.2 Competitors in the 2 Wheel Drive & 4 Wheel Drive Modified Buggy classes will be nationally ranked according to how many points they have been allocated following a State or National Championship.
1.3.3 Ranking of competitors will be the lowest amount of points accumulated over four lowest points Championships over a two-year period.
1.3.4 For competitor nominations to IFMAR World Championship events, the cut-off date for competitor ranking will be the end of the preceding year for which the IFMAR World Championship event is being held.
Which State Titles are currently AARCMCC sanctioned could make a big difference to who qualifies, but if you attend 4 races in the time period then you can't be out-qualified by someone who hasn't because of the way the point scoring system works!

You get 1/2 a point for TQ, and half a point for winning, the more events you attend the more points you have until you hit 4 events. There is no way to give points to someone who didn't attend an event that I can see.

You will have to ask Gavin Bruce. I suggested the point score should be posted on a website somewhere, in response he assured me it was up-to-date, and that he had it sorted.

Just a quick question, do we have to run the control tyre on the front of pro 2? as other 2wd classes have open front tyre shouldn't this be the same?

Thanks

Dave

Probably best off asking that on the official thread.

No, the official thread is here: 2012 AARCMCC EP10 OFR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - April 4 - 9

This is the pre-official thread thread. We were just finishing off a point of discussion about rankings and Worlds qualification that began before the official thread got started.
