Hey guys. I want to check if my Turnigy hard case saddle packs are legal but I can't get this link to work.

Judging by the error message that comes up , I'd say the content of the link isn't on the website.

Under the categories list there is a search bar, search ROAR and technically they are the only legal batteries Hobbyking have. Wait for an official members response on whether they'd accept.

hi mate, if you google 'roar lipo' you will find this
http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/lipobattery.php

but there are no turnigy lipos that are roar approved from what I can see, unless they are branded under another name on that list.

hope that helps

The links to all approved batteries can be found here:
http://www.keilorrc.org.au/links.htm

The event rules document is not right and will be updated early next week. You can use any battery which is on the approved ROAR, AARCMCC, or BRCA lists.

I think Cannon mentioned a while back that Turnigy are advertising roar approved lipos but in fact they have only submitted them to roar for approval.

i have been down the "turnigy ROAR approved lipo" road.

there are NO turnigy batteries that are currently on the ROAR list or any other list that i could find.

after several months of arguing with hobbyking i was given a partial refund on the supposedly ROAR approved turnigy batteries that i purchased.

the fact that they did eventually offer the partial refund(and i keep the batteries) would confirm that they know these batteries are not ROAR approved.

if you intend running these batteries at any event, i would encourage you to disclose this to the organizing body prior, and avoid any disappointment or embarrassment if your car was to get disqualified.

cheers

As one of the scrutineers for this event , I would have to say that if it's not on any list at this time of the year then chances are it won't be by the event. Sorry , but we have prided ourselves on a sense of fair play and following the rules for this event and won't be compromising the attitude for the 2012 event.........

So check to make sure any batteries/motors/ESC's are within the rules pertaining to offroad stock racing prior to the event. That will save the embarrassment of being DQ'ed at scrutineering. Weight and car/truck width will also be checked after each race.......

Cheers

Shane

Default Entries

If you could get your entries in early wirh payment we can use the money to put towards our new timing system which was stolen from the club. Every bit helps.
Thank you

There is plenty of acc. around ranging from caravan parks to 5 star hotels. Let me know your budget and I will recommend some places. We can help with transfers if you want, saves on a hire car.
